Yeah have noticed that. They have put so many posts about Murtasim and Wahaj but hardly they do that for Yumna and Meerab.

I think farhan said he don't mind slapping as long as his character is shown to be a villain and don't end up getting the girl. I won't say no male actors should do slapping scenes. If a guy is a villain and don't respect women it's totally understandable if he physical hurts a woman but the problem is when they show a guy slapping the girl and then ending up with her. In a lot of dramas and movies they show the hero slapping the heroine to get her in line. A lof of movies used to show slap scenes to show how the ml is taming the FL. In these cases the female characters will be badtameez and not sanskari. That is wrong and problematic and toxic.

Here also murtu will end up getting meerab and the slap is so random. I heard in kaise Teri khudgarzi the FL ended up falling for the ml after everything he did to her and her family. I never shipped delena in tvd simply because of how problematic damon was. I will never get how a girl can fall for a guy that snapped the neck of her brother right in front of her eyes or raped one of her friends by using his power to control her. Same with Chuck and blair in gossip girl. The dude tried to rape two girls and then sold Blair to uncle for a hotel but ended up getting the girl🤢. I took examples of American shows since they can be as problematic and toxic as pak and hindi serials. Kdramas are the only except i guess. Except for boys over flowers i cannot remember any kdrama where th ML physically hurt the FL and gets her. Early kdramas used to show MLs as demi gods and narcissistic and control and FLs as dumb and naive but they never slapped the FLs and got away with it. Korea takes domestic violence pretty seriously. Kdramas from 2015-16 are very careful about what they show and they genuinely tried to not romanticize toxic or problematic relationship.
