If FL calls ML names no one has a problem, but if ML calls FL names then it is a question of self respect, I have yet to understand this.
I think it's very coming for the girl to call the guy begairat and the guy to call the girl badtameez and behaya. I learnt these words because of how comely they are used in pak dramas😆. They both dont seems to mind those name calling in the long run. They let it go after the fight itself.
In aik sitam aur the girl calls the guy whatever comes to her mind and he does the same but not once either of them raised their hands on each other. It's surprising considering the ml had all the quality we see in pak drama leading men who casually slaps the girl and gets away with it. We used to call his potty mouth in the forum for the way he used to run his mouth🤣. That dude didn't had half the patience murtu has but never crossed the line physically. Maybe that's why he got laid easier than murtu🤣.
In suno chanda also the leads used to call each other names and fight like cat and mouse. But again no slapping. I think the ML raised his hands but didn't slap her. That itself was a huge deal for the FL and he had to say sorry multiple times for her to forgive him. Here meerab forgot it even before murtu
In kuch ankahi the leads fight all the time. The FL goes to the length of sabotaging his career but the ML not once got physical with her.
My point is it's very much possible to show angst and hatred without showing the leads slapping each other. If the makers did that slap to grab eyeballs then it was a very cheap tactic. They already had A list leads, prime time slot and lot of buzz. Even after getting wahaj and yumna as leads if the makers thought they need attention by promoting a slap scene it shows how little faith they have in their product.
