To be able to be extremely comfortable with another person’s loss, you have to have empathy. Viaan’s actions screamed of empathy.

Most times, ITV does a full sympathy track with single moms with dead husbands etc. I loved this.

And this is also a turning point for Kathaa, in many ways, we now get why she is the mahaan aurat, because in many ways her righteousness indignation is her shield to the rest of the world. So that no one sympathizes with her, she never is “given” something because of her circumstances.

Single moms are mahaan, not because they want to be, it’s the wall they build around them. It takes a special kind to get through that wall. And Viaan is here loosening one brick at a time….but to get to here, he had to literally put a bulldozer through his own wall.

So so well acted by Adnan and especially Aditi.

Her hesitation to let free, Viaan's encouragement, the open sky, and the song.. it was just perfect. And as with all the Viaan / Katha scenes so far, it was so so naturally shot and acted.

Change isn't just about changing one's own behaviour. If you've truly changed, another person will always be able to sense it, and Katha can sense that Viaan has changed. He's not merely trying to brainwash her into believing he's a man with a golden heart. She can see that he cares for his employees. She can see that he respects her personal space. And most importantly, she can feel that he is someone who understands the importance of Aarav's greeting card, the painting and what she's gone through. She knows he understands what it means to loose someone you love. She didn't share about Adi merely because of the song which triggered memories. She shared because she felt safe to share it with Viaan and knew that he would listen.

What a long way they've come from the way she'd constantly maintain a distance and pull away from any close contact to being vulnerable with him.

It's official. I'm in love with Viaan Raghuvanshi.

He was the most sensitive, and the most adorable man today. I chuckled when he asked Katha how he could get the fun that Adi found in every situation.

ALSO THEY FINALLY LAUGHED TOGETHER WITHOUT BEING CONSCIOUS OR AWKWARD.

Katha has a bond with Ehsan, and even the Garewals but they've never truly made it safe for her to be vulnerable. Viaan, on the other hand, has won her heart with his repentance, patience and empathy.❤️

I agree, there was something very organic happening here. Viaan’s sense of Katha is not “how do I impress her” it’s “how do I fit in with her”. For a woman who has loved and lost and is a single mom, this is the difference she needs.

I love that the makers took this long way. Brilliantly done scenes.

And I continue to NOT care for Dodo and her story and the preggie crack.

Ok I am going to do a small rant and then go back to gushing….

When I was a kid my mother and my chachi were watching a movie called One fine Day where the heroine..I forget now the name…had a huge bag which she carried everywhere…and my chachi was teasing my mom ki Aap bhi Aise hi bachon ke sab Kuch apne office valli bag mei daalte ho, including a change.

I desperately hoped that she would have a change in the morning, that pit stain when Katha unbuckled the seat belt ….cannot UNSEE it!!! I mean you got a change for the guy, you included it in the story. How difficult would it have been to create one for her too. She opens her bag, looks at a Spider-Man toy and an old Batman Tshirt with a stain which she can hide by tucking it in her pants….it would have been a lovely scene.

He could have teased her about it. She could have said “aap judge kar rahe Ho” and smiled.

I completely agree with you.

She has had to be strong to keep her son and herself safe. She had to keep fighting because that was the only way ahead for her. She had to be honest, because she knows that if she chooses the wrong path once, it won't be difficult to choose the wrong path twice.

I now know why she chose to sleep with Viaan over accepting Pyramid's offer. It's a matter of conscience, and that conscience that she's doing the right thing is the one hope she's held on to, to keep going and not let circumstances define her.
