It was a beautiful episode. It’s very rare for ITV to get dead husband/wife conversations right - with the correct amount of subtlety and delicacy. This was done brilliantly.

I loved how she said he wasn’t the best, but perfect for me. The titanic was so cute..closest you could get to dramatizing a real conversation. I loved how through this episode, they have not only given us Katha’s softer side but also Viaan’s gracious side.

And when he makes chai for her…how can one help not called him best…sigh!!!

You are absolutely right. The whole car conversation brought me to tears. They could have easily shown her getting excited about talking about Adi, but his first move made us fall in love with him even more and just like that the writers humanized the superwoman Kathaa and elevated the subversive Viaan. Because that is what we all want…empathy not sympathy

FREAKING FREAKING LOVED THE FIRST SCENE.

So so well acted by Adnan and especially Aditi.

Her hesitation to let free, Viaan's encouragement, the open sky, and the song.. it was just perfect. And as with all the Viaan / Katha scenes so far, it was so so naturally shot and acted.

Change isn't just about changing one's own behaviour. If you've truly changed, another person will always be able to sense it, and Katha can sense that Viaan has changed. He's not merely trying to brainwash her into believing he's a man with a golden heart. She can see that he cares for his employees. She can see that he respects her personal space. And most importantly, she can feel that he is someone who understands the importance of Aarav's greeting card, the painting and what she's gone through. She knows he understands what it means to loose someone you love. She didn't share about Adi merely because of the song which triggered memories. She shared because she felt safe to share it with Viaan and knew that he would listen.

What a long way they've come from the way she'd constantly maintain a distance and pull away from any close contact to being vulnerable with him.

I agree, there was something very organic happening here. Viaan’s sense of Katha is not “how do I impress her” it’s “how do I fit in with her”. For a woman who has loved and lost and is a single mom, this is the difference she needs.

I love that the makers took this long way. Brilliantly done scenes.

And I continue to NOT care for Dodo and her story and the preggie crack.

Their development has come so so naturally. Hats off to whoever that is writing the story, and to Adnan and Aditi.

I trust this Viaan to think “she didn’t call ME Adi, INSTEAD I made her think of her happiness with him and that makes me feel for her, feel happy for me too”

Yes, he has the advantage of being a product of a single mom, to understand this….he is reminding us by showing her how he makes chai ki I know there is another side to it all, if you let me in, I will shower you with those advantages.
