Haha in the UK we have a Indian sweet house which we've always dealt with growing up for all types of occasions and now they've changed their menu to include all sorts of cakes and stuff. The owner and staff were saying the mithai doesn't sell much anymore as there's major shift in demand. At least that's the case here where I live. I have noticed a lot more ice cream and cake shops open selling all sorts of sweet desserts... and they are always busy.
