2 fictional characters being shipped together as a jodi cannot harm anyone. but thats not the point. the point is, as people watching a story if several people are able to sideline 500 episodes of a character being immoral, abusive, indecisive, selfish and still want him to end up with the person who has suffered simply because "they look good together on screen"- then thats upsetting imo. I think Sai and V look amazing together , they have great chemistry, but after following the show - its impossible to root for them because they have not made the characters "flawed", they have made one person an outright criminal and crime endorsing man despite being an IPS officer. They really went too overboard with the drama quotient to make one person really cruel. and by not even giving him a proper redemption arc he is becoming even more unlikeable as a character. They have done this not only with V but also a character like BK. She has now flipped but there has been no buildup towards it. Its a daily soap. they thrive on stretching things so why havent they been building up towards BKs flip a little bit.
Sai too is being compromised if she melts towards V and softens her stance and goes into nok jhok , flirting and eyelock zones or getting "touchy" in future. Abhi toh hospital checkup hai- ok. but its in bad taste to show someone who has received her life's biggest betrayal from this man start to treat him normally. Yes she can be civil, dignified, mature and not be bitter since they have to coparent their kids but Sai's strength is her ability to draw boundaries and if she flouts that to start getting too comfortable with V then it makes her also look bad.
Its fine to show longing, pain, memories of the past, thoughs of "what of" etc. but that should be balanced with the cruel reminder of the present.
Sai has lived through having "another woman" in her marriage with V. She would never want to be that person in his 2nd marriage. She may never be able to move on and love anyone else but showing her go overboard in trusting him or being too soft on him is not ok.
She can do her due diligence as a doctor, as an acquaintance and as a co-parent but there are some lines to be drawn.
If they still want to bring back the chemistry of the jodi and show the kids have a regular happy family then there is a LOT that V needs to do. It cant be- one day mein love realization, and then minimal effort to fix his sins , few scenes of him making ggogly-eyes at Sai and sai is waiting to just throw herself at him as if her existence is incomplete without this man.
