When you are in love with a person, prepare your mind beforehand that the person can change anytime later on. If somebody is not interested in you anymore, you too should stop taking any interest in that person instantly.

You will be hurt for some days or weeks or more, then will totally forget over time.

About job, you may look for a new one.
