Just finished seeing the latest episode, and I have some thoughts on Reet's husband Yuvraj's affair. I wanted to know what you guys think.

I am the kind of person who believes that cheating is wrong under all conditions (I can perhaps make some exceptions for extreme conditions of abuse). It's an extremely serious moral offence in my opinion, and I doubt if I could personally ever forgive a person who cheats.

So obviously, Yuvraj's affair is disturbing to me. But I don't have any problems about a TV show depicting an affair; if Yuvraj is shown to be a grey character, so be it. I find morally grey characters quite intriguing, as long as they are portrayed with nuance and depth.

But my problem with Yuvraj's affair is that it seems to me (till now) that the writers are almost justifying the affair. By showing the scenes where Reet breaks the flowerpot in anger and where Yuvraj complains about his life to his mistress in the car, the depiction almost seems like because Yuvraj's life is so 'miserable,' his affair almost seems justifiable. It's almost like a cause-and-effect chain, and I don't know how to feel about this. Yes, Reet may not be a good wife; she is ungrateful, nagging, and has her own set of insecurities that she needs to take care of but doesn't acknowledge. I understand that Yuvraj may feel a lot of pain in his life because of how his wife treats him. But that is no excuse for cheating, according to me. There are lots of ways in which he could try to fix his marital problems with more maturity. I have seen many deep-rooted problems among married couples, and if every partner just cheats in order to alleviate their pain, then imagine how many families would break apart.

I am curious to know what you guys think about this. Do you feel that there might be any justification on Yuvraj's side for pursuing this affair? Do you feel sympathy for Reet? What are your guys' opinions on cheating?

I have altogether different idea on this .

There are many marriages where the level of respect for each other is zero ( mostly women are deprived of it and taken for granted ) . It's is so much common that the people in relationship itself fail to understand it .They will be happily living in their world until they meet someone with opposite qualities or make them feel special .

It's then they realise all of that was lacking in their life . It brings a special joy or happiness an feeling of being accepted . They strat cherish it as a friendship or as a special relationship. Just talking to thta person who doesn't judge you unlike your partner or who is there to listen to you when your partner is always busy or rather ignores you .

How is that cheating ... You are just finding a good friend to share your thoughts . It's all because we coined it under EMA . ( happy married life but When it is only about physical relationship it's different )

Or even sometimes in real life there are cases where husband and wife don't even speak with each other , but one person don't allow the other to end realtionship. Specially in our society divorce is not that easy legally too . Because of social fear they adjust n adjust ...and at that time if they find someone who is compatible they become comfortable with each other .

I was reminded about your comment while watching this randomly on youtube. duets can be superbly beautiful but for some reason, the preview that gina posted shows viaan singing with some random chicka. why why why???

now, if over enthu cutlet had forced katha and viaan to do a random karaoke and they discover chemistry while singing -- now that would have made us all swoon! keith stop giving air kisses to viaan. you are there to play cupid with your big hair. 🙄

while the preview just got a meh from me (viaan has okay voice and his performance seems a bit subtle), I would have prefered to see a duet like this. I was laughing at reading this youtube comment -- "how does he produce that sound with such a calm face" 🤣

who knows if he is khadoos but he has no expression but that voice really kills it. so would have loved to see something like that -- viaan being rather serious but then belting out his emotion in sound and you can see the wave of feelings through the trills. that would have felt right in characterization.

whereas katha will be far more expressive in her singing as well as body language but their voices manage to meld to create this lovely river of sweet honey notes. they stand separately but as the music sways, they can't help but turn and sing to each other. then that chemistry explodes and both are a bit stunned. that kind of scene would have made more sense. katha is not a teenager to fall in love because his voice is nice. 😂

Viaan is a short way from realising and I think when Katha does acknowledge hers, she would love him ALOT.

Absolutely! And I'm sure that is what the makers are trying to portray.

All one can ask for is more scenes of the two of them! Its a treat watching them act

I honestly love seeing the awkward tension between them. This is what I wanted from the beginning

Why didn't Katha go with Viaan? It's late and she doesn't have her own vehicle. Isn't it stupid to walk alone and then she got so scared when those 3 langoor stopped and chedofied her
