Genuinely happy someone raised this. As a recent viewer I was disappointed seeing twitter and forum dealing with Ehsaan- Katha and Viaan- Ehsaan. Ehsaan is pushing boundaries but how is Viaan any better than him. He was fully aware Katha wasn’t comfortable from her demeanour. What happened was not consensual sex. Worse all of a sudden he is more worried about addressing her as tum or aap. I mean he went ahead with ONS but is worried about calling her tum? Logic.?!!
His new found respect is simply because she is a mother. I would have found the show groundbreaking if they landed him in Jail

Yes. Disgrace him, throw him in jail, and that would be groundbreaking, that we aren't whitewashing a criminal.

The opinion that it's a ONS is just wrong bc an ONS requires free enthusiastic consent from both parties, and unless there isn't ENTHUSIASTIC CONSENT it's not ONS, it's assault. She didn't say yes bcz she wanted to sleep w him, but bc she didn't have any option. Sleeping with your subordinates would have been a really gross misconduct in any situation, here he literally makes it a condition for money. Plus he goes ahead despite seeing how uncomfortable she is. To biologically function after seeing a woman acting like this, tells something very gross abt a guy. There are so many layers of his unethical, disgusting, immoral and most important criminal behavior.

The issue I've isn't with ONS or casual flings, as some are trying to portray this as, but the fact it's not consensual ONS.

@bold that's what happened, BUT he also wanted to feel like a mahan soul, who's being wronged. From every aspect, he's the one doing wrong thing and yet he wants to be victim.

1. Having relationships, totally consensual w subordinates CAN get you in trouble. That's what he did. Company should throw him out.

2. Aditi didn't want free money, she wanted loan. He's the one who propositioned ONS. He's like a guy who'd hire women, do it and then look down on them.

Dude you're not eligible to check anyone's morality.

3. Here's the most disgusting part. I have enough friends who're into casual flings. When he touched Katha she obviously shuddered, the fact he still went ahead tells enough about his character.

The reason I feel so strongly about this storyline and how this is one of the most disgusting ones (even ekta mayaa seems like such a liberal feminist) is this storyline affirms a misconception about intimate relationships. That if there isnt consent in a non violent 'hookup'(idk what word to use that IF wont ban me, its not hookup) then first, it's not rape, and second it's not as traumatic, esp when the guy happens to be hot, educated, sophisticated. This is the entire reasoning about marital rapes not being taken seriously bcz people dont think they're as traumatic.

Lol i saw 2-3 episodes it looked like she's such a strong woman(she IS) and he just cheated or something. But god this disgusted me
