The point of showing NavShu domestic life, sleeping arrangements etc. is to show AbRohi in similar situations. They are leading with Akshara because they know the backlash will be severe for AbRohi.

My guess is they will move to Abhi’s room since there is a lounging chair there if they want to show no intimacy.

But from Abhi’s perspective Akshu has moved on, he doesn’t want her, his family hates her. He waited 6 years. He wants to move on and here is his chance. He doesn’t know Abhir is his yet.
