I think a large number of people wanting Advait to be ML was because of the actor, not just character. If they replaced the actor, there would still be lots of bashing and probably people protesting about quitting the show.

On a side note as per itv experience it is significant that ekam is not saving her. First advait saves her fire, then shamsher is saving her from advait, now she escapes on her own. Just shows that they are not in any hurry to unite nekham!!!
