I will share my uncle's advice that he gave when I first started working:

1. if you are under pressure to drink, always ask for juice mixed with alcohol for the first drink. the second one make it plain juice -- this way no one can tell if you are drinking juice or cocktail

2. always mix your own drink or watch who is mixing. be very careful of accepting drinks from others and if possible avoid at any business related event.

3. always make sure you are sober enough. so eat lots of starters and keep munching while you drink. this way, the alcohol will be more like fermented juice and you will still keep your momentum.

I remember being confused on why he was so seriously giving me such advice and I couldn't fully understand his comment that you have to be careful who you drink with. now that I watch this episode, I am reminded of his advice and understanding more what he told me. there are sharks in hiding like ehsaan in every office and if you are successful exec, you have to be even more shrewd and careful.

See your post on starters is supporting above post🤣

Great advice from your uncle. I don't drink. It does not bother me what others think about it. I know that people are excluded from groups because of this but I am fine with it.

I also don't judge those who drink. To each his/her choice!

Actually in any party, I end up eating only starters. I can't resist tikkis, pakodas, fries, nuggets and all. Before I reach to main course, I will be almost full. After a bite or two of main course, I will reach dessert counter. So my husband sometimes asks me not to take main course. He says why to waste a plate 🤣🤣

My order would be Welcome drink, starters, soups and desserts☺️☺️☺️

I don't drink, So I never thought why starters are important. For me, starters are tempting🤣🤣

Umm, anybody there thinking of Neerja ji..?? Like yeah she was introduced and written to stay because Sheen was maybe leaving (Rewa left for singapore) but what do you all think... For how long neerja ji is gonna stay with them and once she leaves what might be there? Like Falguni ben will take care of aarav or aarav will start to spend more time at garewal's or rewa will come back .. i know this far from what's going on but I think so sometimes. Neerja ji also gets sad sometimes thinking about her kids and that's also not talked about much considering Katha's caring for everyone character 🌝

shalzie -- when it comes to alchohol, there are different atttitudes even within this show.

so jeetu bhai offering viaan a drink was not filled with malice. instead, he was giving as a host and almost like a fatherly + coworker vibe. jeetu bhai does not have a problem with drinking or people who drink. so there isn't a kind of derision to it. they are at his wedding anniversary party and he is offering a drink to his boss and not just any drink but single malt -- so that is viaan's preferred drink and jeetu bhai knew it. so there is a level of comfort there. however, viaan wasn't in the mood per se to drink and mostly looking at how fast he can exit after doing a bit of mixing around.

katha is a teetotaler but she doesn't necessarily have an ick attitude towards drinkers or drinking. it is just her choice not to drink.

now, ehsaan drinks but wants to pretend that he is high and mighty. so he acts like he doesn't drink or is above it all. here his non-drinking is about showing folks how righteous he is. in the same vein, he puts down viaan because he can drink like a tanker on occasion. there is derision. he assumes that because katha is a teetotaler, she has disgust towards those who drink and he wanted to put viaan down in her eyes. so he wasn't teasing or ribbing but there was malice involved. even if viaan didn't recognize it, he could sense the malic and thats why viaan got upset and moved away.

but then ehsaan had to prove his point about viaan being a drunkard -- so he spikes the juice and forces viaan to drink at several points. will have to agree with others here (paula, angel) that there are 'friends' like this in real life. have heard stories and it always makes your head spin. they are not good friends but rather out to destroy your life out of jealousy. so in that way, his turn is not unexpected if we take a step back and look at it. still, it is always hard to believe when those next to you stab you.

It’s scary he spiked his drink, feels like Ehsan has no boundaries he won’t hesitate to cross. Let’s hope he doesn’t spike her drink at some point to get her to loosen up. Then be like you wanted this Katha. How she feels safe to be alone with him after all that inappropriate touching? I wouldn’t let anyone dance that close unless I was involved with them or wanted to be. I can’t tell if she was just enjoying the dance or trying to get a reaction out of Viaan cause he was avoiding her. She definitely wasn’t happy his attention shifted off her during that party or was it just awkwardness on both parts (they want interactions with each but more normal, let’s move on sort of thing).

I must ask M, what is actually her profession? Are you a writer, M?

I hate these sort of functions lol, sounds great and fancy but I feel like the hosts are deliberately starving you so you leave without eating and are doing cost saving. I remember eating the starters at a wedding reception and waiting hours for main to arrive, then I was like dad let’s go home and eat they never feeding us. it was like four hours after starters and it was now past tea time. Just give me a buffet/ thali so I can eat and run away. Vegetarians left straight after starters they already knew there is nothing for them after that lol. Wish we had that sense. We thought this great dinner was coming. Probably spend more on entertainment and decorations.

I also thought of the same. He has no boundaries and he is scary. He can do the same with Katha also. Hope Viaan is trying to warn Katha about Ehsan in pre cap
