I didn't get the point here. It's very early state to show him in a bad light. So far he hasn't proposed Katha, he is not sure of his own feelings, just coz of jealousy and to gain some brownie points from Katha,Ehsan will spike his childhood friend's drink. it's not going with the character whatever shown to us so far.

His character will turn into a grey one with the passage of time. But atleast show some growth in that process. Suddenly makers just can't make him this creepy. I don't know about u guys, par kal raat ka Ehsan mujhe bahut hi out of character our out of situation wala laga.

in this case, I don't think it was actually about katha. rather his reaction to jeetu bhai and the other coworkers. I have made lots of comments on it yesterday. you can take a look.

I know that folks are upset for viaan but I feel bad for jeetu bhai. 25 wedding anniversary is a big deal and they didnt' have children or family to organize for them. so viaan did the honours. why did ehsaan have to create such drama at someone's wedding anniversary party? it is not just any regular office event. but someone's personal event of a big milestone. tells you that ehsaan has no respect for even someone like jeetu bhai who hasn't done anything to him.

no worries; I also find it difficult to go through many pages. thats why I try stick to fewer threads. easier to keep up. but yea, I sleep close to 12.30. for those who are on the other side of the world, it is morning/afternoon time for them. so there is some chatter till midnight and then DT falls asleep for the most part. :)

That is the only thing writers did right. Ehsaan was insecure throughout the entire episode; when Viaan was cracking jokes, interacting with the employees, giving such a heartfelt speech, dancing. Viaan was in the centre of attention for the very first time, and he could not tolerate it. It was not only about katha and in fact, her and viaan did not have any siginifcant interaction.

depends on the crowd -- it is also about age, background and sector you belong to. in some circles, there is definitely pressure to drink and if you are not, they do look at you weirdly.

I will share my uncle's advice that he gave when I first started working:

1. if you are under pressure to drink, always ask for juice mixed with alcohol for the first drink. the second one make it plain juice -- this way no one can tell if you are drinking juice or cocktail

2. always mix your own drink or watch who is mixing. be very careful of accepting drinks from others and if possible avoid at any business related event.

3. always make sure you are sober enough. so eat lots of starters and keep munching while you drink. this way, the alcohol will be more like fermented juice and you will still keep your momentum.

I remember being confused on why he was so seriously giving me such advice and I couldn't fully understand his comment that you have to be careful who you drink with. now that I watch this episode, I am reminded of his advice and understanding more what he told me. there are sharks in hiding like ehsaan in every office and if you are successful exec, you have to be even more shrewd and careful.

Bangalore is famous for it's drinking culture. Mostly everyone drinks here. But it's ok to say no,if u don't drink. No one will force u. If anybody wants to start they can go for breezers(0.4% alcohol) or wines.

Bold- 3 point is the most imp one. Just eat while drinking sothat alcohol will be balanced with food.

In one way KA writers did do some home work in character sketches, while adapting a foreign series into Hindi.

-Singhs from UP (as Katha said their ancestral house is in Lucknow & she wants Aarav to be Punjabi like his father Aaditya)

-Patels may be from Gujarat (Jeetu bhai full name)

Yes Ehsaan was very insecure throughout the the episode. I think he was the one who was always approachable by the employees. When Viaan unknowingly started taking his place he became highly insecure. But Katha did trigger his reactions. In the party Katha's eyes were on Viaan and Ehsaan was observing all that. There was lot of admiration on her face for Viaan's speech and Ehsaan couldn't take that. I think he got scared that Katha might start liking Viaan. People like Ehsaan do not take failures and rejections gracefully. They become aggressive. Katha has become a prize for him which he cannot loose to Viaan. His mother has also added extra fuel to this fire. He just wanted Viaan to fall low in Katha's eyes. At that time he could not think anything beyond that.

even twitter is so offended by ehsaan, some are taking a break😆
