I've always felt disconnected from Katha. She is no doubt brave in front of her kid but when it comes to communicating with adults, she is very selective with what she says and does. What I mean by that is for instance she can easily relay to PapaG that he doesn't have to be sorry for not informing her when her child almost went missing. But when it comes to telling Ehsan to back off, she will feel uncomfortable but not say a word. This is how women or even men for that matter lead people on and that's simply immaturity.
I understand that writers had to redeem Viaan. They succeeded but at the expense of relegating Katha to the background. I don't connect to her anymore. I don't understand her inability to fully comprend Ehsan's intentions and to put a complete stop to them. As a woman, I am alarmed at the red signals.
How come Aarav is the only sensible person in a show of adults?
Maybe I took it personally as I am attached to Viaan's character but I found it difficult to see him lose his senses in front of his staff. Dignity matters to me. Putting the ONS aside, I have never seen Viaan behave inappropriately. All of a sudden, Ehsan is indicating Viaan's inclinations towards alcohol. Jeetu bhai is bringing a glass for Viaan. Cherry on the cake - Ehsan drugs Viaan. This is not the show which I signed up for or have been watching. Is this an indication of the direction they are taking? Are we to expect more negativity instead of the story being the main driver? It was shocking to see Ehsan turn so ugly. I could accept him being a grey character but this act was downright manipulative and malicious. Viaan considers this man as his best friend and family.
I can't deny that I am disappointed.
