I know we are supposed to feel sorry that katha does not have money to buy clothes and she is spending all her money on aarav but part of me just wants to facepalm. 🙄

as women, shouldn't we be spending a bit on ourselves? does living through your children the only happiness? so if aarav decides cricket makes him unhappy -- will she able to accept? why not find ways to make herself happy? is she going to be like those aunties who have spent their whole life focused on their kid and then he goes off to college, work, abroad and she is left alone and empty and no idea what to do with herself?

and what is wrong with spending a little on clothes? she does not have to go to high end retail to buy clothes. you can go to small shops also and get good decent stuff. and if you are front facing (clients interaction), how can you be wearing old old clothes? it has to be somewhat decent -- that is part of the nature of such a job.

despite govt raising taxes on clothing in the new budget, we still live in a country where clothing is affordable. 🤷
