I think abhi's breakdown is not about the sorry; it is really about seeing ak with her happy family. I mean, think about it, he got there and spent 3 days just seeing her family, being a friend to her husband, and liking her kid and everything. He was crying throughout it, but never got a chance to actually feel everything he felt because he had to keep up the facade for her family's sake. Then, in the end, he said sorry for sirat ma thing. I think that gave him a little peace, but even before ak came and shouted at him, he was starting to break down. That's why they had to stop the car. She said some very to the point things, but he hasn't even had time to process it all. All he could process was that she was still angry with him and still held him responsible. But responsible for what? She has a happy family and everything that he doesn't have. So he is unable to understand what is going on. Nothing will really be clear to him until three things happen :

1. He learns about abhir and ak's struggles with abhir

2. He sees how his own family treats ak and his delusions with his mom are washed away.

3. He sees how much the guilt of everything he put on her still impacts her and has changed her.

For akshu going to Udaipur again, I don't think its entirely about arohi. For so long she was scared to even step foot in udaipur because she did not want to run into abhi. She thought that as soon as abhi saw her and abhir, he would know that is his son and she hasn't moved on and he would come back into her life like a tufaan. I mean, that has been her experience with him in the past. But they met and he was cordial and he even helped her family and everything. He believed all the nonsense she told Goenkas about abhir and her new life. So now, after this meeting, she is much less scared about facing abhi again. Also obviously, a part of her wants to go back to her family, the only thing holding her back was abhi. Because in her mind, the responsibility of everything that happened is on abhi. She doesn't know what his situation was when he rejected her calls and ignored her. So this will only get resolved when :

1. She sees how much alone abhi is in his family now

2. She sees how the birlas treat her badly even after all these years. I mean she doesn't know that manjari and arohi still hate her. She figures it's only abhi who in anger destroyed their life and didn't try to make things work.

3. She hopefully gets wind of shefali issue and helps her resolve it.

I think both of them are lying to themselves about why they are feeling the things they are feeling. It's going to take them a loooong while to figure out their feelings.

As people have been saying Akshu is more upset with Abhi that he rejected her call when she was trying to tell him about their kid. Her staying away from Birlas and Goenkas could be anger and guilt. I don't think so. AK's all feelings and everything is connected to Abhi. She didn't go back to GV becoz if she went there Abhi will know abt baby and will come back to her. She doesn't want that. He rejected her so she doesn't want to share the news or show him their child. She waited for him till child birth after but he never came also she doesn't want her baby to left without father love so she choose NAV becoz he was a safe option considering he is a achcha aadmi. Untill now she kept their son in secret hided from the world that is Abhi. Now Abhi now's and she know he didn't recognised him so now she can go back to wherever she want. She doesn't care abt Abhi. That's it. Others blame or anything that doesn't affect her. She feels sorry and sad for the loss and she know somewhere she is also responsible for Neil and other baby death. So the blames are no her pblm. As we all know her main anger is with Abhi only becoz after mrg he was her everything.

So she’s fairly certain Abhi won’t recognize Abhir so it’s safe to return to GV.
But if Abhir is just like Abhi Manjari Mahima and Anand will certainly notice the similarities and that is risking Abhir again.
