But wasn't he anyway planning to make sure he reaches to P first before Sai in the car before he found out that his gun is missing? What was the reason then he had those dialogues baat bohut bigaad jayegi, i won't be able to handle it either...

On the serious note , if he had informed the officer that P is armed maybe they would have taken precautions early on and wouldn’t have let a civilian enter the room first . V is protecting P here as well as he knows stealing a service revolver is a crime and those officers can fire if she uses her gun with or without Sai entering the room . I think Vankar didn’t think so much when he wrote the scene . He wants us to believe V did this to save Sai 😆
