Guilt Tripping a rape survivor - Page 3

It’s shocking and disgusting how Anupama can justify telling a rape survivor to not defend themselves of any attacks against their character and dignity. But instead to “respect” the person who is being completely insensitive and disrespectful to a rape survivor just because they are elderly. Being elderly does not give anyone the right to verbally abuse someone. Anupama should have instead apologized to Dimple for Baa’s complete lack of sensitivity and out of line behavior.

I know right! When did Dimpy even raise her voice... I didn't understand the need for Anupamaa to say anything to her. She was like Baa is wrong and crosses her limits but you should always talk respectfully with elders.... even Samar was like Chalo Dimpy after what his Maa just said.... I am assuming he also thought that Anupamaa is talking out of her ____ at the point which is why he didn't bother answering to her and asked Dimpy to come with him.

Also Samar-Dimpy is a bit fast no? Like she said she wanted time and he said ofcourse and the very next scene they are flying a heart shaped kite (loved Baa's expressions though) But I think it would have been better to stretch it out... like show Dimpy's feelings... her denial as he is a Shah.... maybe show she gradually falls for him too and then from Samar's side he fell for her as she is strong and inspires him to be better. Everyone married despite Baa's objections but showing an emotional connect between a couple for once would be a better love story than a nibba-nibbi kite in my opinion.

I wanted to give ha ha reaction. I am not mocking anyone but the makers are. It’s high time that we all (me excluded 😂) take this crap as crap instead of hoping for a logic. Logic won’t help them run the show for next 100 years but nonsense can.

As for the social issues, tell me one issue which they handled properly? They completely butchered their main character. For a filmmaker or show maker, there is nothing lower than that. All they want is money. Nobody should face what Anupama faced when she was with Shahs. But now many including me feel that she should be treated that way only. I don’t feel good saying that but isn’t it an irony that I am rooting for her to return to them and get treated like a doormat. That’s how they have butchered their main character.

The same makers ran YRKKH S1 for 7.5 years without any villain, toxicity, scheming, plotting, plastic surgery, EMA, and negativity. Why do they need to show MAA licking Baa's ass for 810 episodes. I can bet that they could have stretched the show without showing MAA licking Baa's feet for 800+ episodes. Sreemoyee had 834 episodes, but Sreemoyee did not worship her ex in-laws like MAA does. Sreemoyee was not even the center of every track. They can just copy paste Sreemoyee and make a much better show. But, it seems like the makers genuinely believe that a woman should always stay loyal to her first husband and in-laws despite their abusive nature.

Gone are the days when trp audience liked non-negative shows. All the shows that are running are full of toxicity. Star plus is the trash can of toxicity followed by other channels.

I binged Hotel Del Luna. Completed and then rewatched some of the beautiful scenes. Ahh I already miss all the characters.

I have started watching Korean series. They have strong script and good acting, but the only problem is that I can not differentiate between the characters. They all look same to me. Sometime I even confuse the hero with the heroine.😆

Nostalgia. I remember I had to write down their names when I started in 2016. I initially started with movies and then ventured into kdramas. Stay away from Lee Min Ho dramas 🤣

I am so fed up of Anupamaa. Baa could literally kill somebody and Anupama would probably tell the victim's family to be respectful to her Baa because she is elder. Because elders can be wrong but one must never speak up against them. What an awful mentality. 🤪
