No katha is not wrong here as she was really in need of job and when she was getting rejected from so many places because of her child illness she decided to hide this truth when she applied for earthcon

So there is no point sharing about his son to Viaan and if u mean after that proposal she could have shared then too there was no point of sharing her problem with a man who is just trying to take advantage of her need
