Starting was action then it was comedy

I can't believe I'm saying this. But original movie seems more sophisticated with more well rounded characters and more funny dialogue delivery ( I'm going by the tone and style since I watched with substitles). The rich kid had a proper arc. He's not demonized for being rich. It's simply not in his nature to be authoritative and confident. And part or his journey is him finally take a stand for what he believes in and stop being wishy-washy. The police officer didn't behave like an underpaid extra and Tabu and Jayaram relationship arc was wonderful, the villain and his son seemed more menacing and so on...

May be Varun would have been a better choice

Absolutely, the original film was more subdued and subtle for a Telugu mass movie.

The film had a lot of humour and cheekiness and there was growth.

There is a lot of David Dhawan type movie in this

Tbh I don't think this movie has any depth or character growth like the original.

Just a very glossy movie , however as long as it is entertaining i am okay, not every movie needs to have depth

The original movie was not path breaking, both Allu Arjun and Trivikram wanted to do a light hearted movie. Songs, swag, dialogues and humour made the film and the film had great actors.

Shows that for best writing even a mediocre director can do wonders.

For mediocre material, talented directors can take it up to a very great level

Why are we not getting any good romance movie for Valentines?

they lack so much thought that the character in hindi is called bantu, same as original which made sense because in telugu it means follower, servant, somebody who is subservient and fits the whole purpose of murali sharma in the film, hanuman is called ramabantu
