Also, कितने अफ़सोस की बात है लेकिन के हमारे देश में आज भी अंग्रेज़ी के एक्सेंट को लेकर दूसरों को नीचा दिखाया जाता है। 🤔

You can see how southern accent is mocked even here

So it's not just people of color who go thru this

Btw I LOVE the Southern drawl! It's my favorite American accent, so cool and pleasing to the ears. Also reminds me of the westerns. 😍

Funny… BW stars who speak to western media with an accent are torn apart here but look at the excuses for tollywood stars….

Hrithik, SRK, and other BW stars have been talking to western media for a while now… especially srk and he speaks in his regular accent… if he they can speak in his regular accent then why can’t these guys? 🤷🏻‍♀️

the gymnastics done and excuses given for south industry these days jusr to put down BW is kinda baffling

Tbh, accents do change depending on who you talk to. I sound like a born Brit when I talk to my Brit family 😆😆 b/c that’s the only way they’ll probably understand me clearly. I don’t see the big deal about changing accents, sometimes it happens on its own & it’s fine. That said, I love how DP never changed her accent. It remains what it always was.

Excuses? As in him not being understood because of his accent? I think the only ones putting down people here are the ones who mock.

I’ve seen Bollywood stars being mocked if they speak in American or British accent but when it comes to south stars, all of sudden it’s ok cause they have to do it in order to be understood… why is not same rule applid to bolly folks who use an accent…?
hrithik and srk talk in their regular accent when they are abroad same one they use in india … how come they are not being miss-understood by foreign media
