Suneeth: "Not sure of India's persistence with Chahal would yield best results for us in the World Cup. He his one dimensional with not much to offer with his fielding "

Dhaval: "I know Dravid doesn't like to chop and change too much, but I feel SKY deserves a fair run before the ODI WC and he should make it to the squad. VK SKY HP and RP should form our middle order. " --- I actually tried to analyse if Surya merits a place in this line-up, and what he needs to do to crack the ODIs. Have a read.

India vs Sri Lanka live stream online

There were plenty of positives for Team India after the triumph in the 1st ODI. The top three fired with notable contributions, which fares great for the team going further.

Young speedster Umran Malik seems to be the find of the tour as he is making life tough for the Sri Lanka batters.

With experienced Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Hardik Pandya being the other quick bowlers, India's pace attack is looking alright.

Spinners Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal will have to step up on Thursday after an underwhelming outing in the first game.

Pitch Report | Deep Dasgupta and Russel Arnold: "One of the features of this venue is the lightning quick outfield. This venue isn't that big which doesn't help the bowling side. Looks like a belter. We're on another road just like Guwahati. Hard ground to defend. Batters will love it. The pitch is hard, very good covering of grass and it's very difficult to see there being sideways movement. The spinners will have to vary their pace and so will the faster bowlers."

Sri Lanka head coach Chris Silverwood rued the lack of discipline from his bowlers, especially in the first ten overs. Their fielding was found wanting too - they dropped Kohli twice, on 52 and 81. It's an inexperienced bowling line-up; Hasaranga with 39 wickets is the highest wicket-taker in their squad, but if Sri Lanka are to level the series, the bowlers must step up.

Team india needs to think beforehand are they going to do this or not and whatever is their choice whole team should follow it."

Abhishek: "Good point Sanket, Will Rohit do the same when its the last wicket to take and 1 run to win ?"

Sreshth Shah is at the venue. "It is a cool, sunny afternoon, low humidity, unlike usual Kolkata weather." he says. "Both teams are warming up. The ground is far from houseful, yesterday there were tickets readily available at the ticket counters and there are a few waiting to purchase them right now too."

gabbar: "agree with Sanket. in the era of social media crucifixion is important to avoid such controversies. players can sometimes feel the heat if the communication is not there. either you run the player out or dont attempt it but no going back"

There was a cap presentation ceremony in the Sri Lanka camp. Looks like Nuwanidu Fernando will be making his debut today.
