Kumar Sangakkara on air thinks Sri Lanka are in the driving seat after the first innings. I'm not too sure about that. This is a two-paced tacky pitch and as we saw from the Sri Lankan spinners, especially Hasaranga, when you vary the pace, it stops and there is extra bounce as well. India started well with Ishan Kishan taking 17 off the first over but then Sri Lanka fought back as the batters succumbed in their bit to hit out and falling to the pitch's tricks. Hooda and Axar got together at 94/5 and their 68-run stand off 36 balls has given the hosts a total to bowl at. Hooda was brilliant as he put away the bad balls and Axar too got the boundaries away despite playing a few dots. For Sri Lanka the spinners were excellent and Madushanka apart from his final over was impressive with his skiddy pace and tight lines. Back for the chase in 5 minutes...
