That's why Messi was rewarded a penalty in pretty much every single game. The penalties given in the final to both teams were fair... but Argentina's journey to the final was full of biased refereering. Even the players themselves admitted it.

Still watching the highlights. What a match. The greatest WC final I have ever watched.

i think croatia match argentian penalty was deserved as the goalie pushed alvarez down or it would be a goal. Even if refree did not give penalty they had 2 goals from field by players

In final too france never played at all for 75 minutes they were busy trying to hit the main argentina players. Indeed 4 of those those african 7 footers were sent only to intimidate and hit argentina players not to play football. Refree was too partial towards frnace in final not argentina or 2 strikers were pushed inside D when goal was about to happen no penalty or yellow card. One worst final i saw in last 20 years was this. France was playing dirty and below the belt football and desrved 3 to 4 red cards if any other good refree was there.

Frnace never desrved to come to final. It was croatia and japan that played much much better than france in every game. Its luck that france draw was such they blazed to final. Even netherland argentina match was more of nethreland trying to intimidate argentina players than playing real football. Atleast refree there gave 18 cards yellow but final refree was horrible

What African players are you talking about? They are French.

If you want to talk about their origins then you'll also have to call the Argentinians players Europeans as they are definitely not native of South America.
