Locopoco I have been here with you for 17 years and have watched most of the seasons. The rants are different from criminal intimidation. Simple put example of rant is “I will see you outside or I will break you outside”.Example of criminal intimidation is: “You don’t know my connections, you and you family will be eliminated by my very influential people. You don’t know who you are dealing with and will kill you as soon as you go outside.” The threat is very well defined in the later.

Section 506. Punishment for criminal intimidation. Previous Next

If threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, etc.and if the threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, or to cause the destruction of any property by fire, or to cause an offence punishable with death or 1[imprisonment for life], or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, or to impute unchastity to a woman, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, or with fine, or with both.

The thing is these written laws make no difference. There are far more serious issue example Animal abuse. It’s impossible to get a cop to even agree to write a FIR against a criminal who is torturing animals. This is such a small thing in comparison. Easy to make a law, far more complex is the implementation.

I agree with you. Law seldom protect the needy as most criminals gets away by breaking it. On Animal abuse the laws if any are a joke. You are right more is needed on this severe issue.
