She has been shown way too naive and protected since the beginning of the show. Dev knew this. He tried telling her that you won't be able to handle it. She, with her rosy eyed look of the world, didn't listen. She assumed he is being overprotective and exaggerating. Now reality has hit her. She is stumbling. I doubt she'd back out completely but the harsh light of the world has temporarily blinded her. And her dad's health is not helping the matters. So it's a double punch. Even a girl who is street smart, would take time to find her feet under the circumstances. This girl is anything but street smart.
Her naivety and not giving serious thought on what Dev had been trying to tell her has resulted in this.
But I would like to see her finding her feet before this track is wrapped up. She can't always be shown reactive. Papa ka health and gossip so she resigns, if later Satyavati intervenes then go ahead with the marriage. She has to take a stand of her own, especially now that Dev has made it obvious that he is there with her no matter what.
okay now another observation..has anyone felt the pace show has now is way too fast then in first 62 episode (till drunk Vidhi) uske baad se sab kuch ekdum super sonic soeed m.e ho raha hai...
pahle things was calm, serene, beautifully presented, heartfelt, heartwarming... like fresh morning breeze u would want to bask in every morning. ....
but aajkal to it feels like Lu ka thapeda... matlab i am standing in this wide desert and surrounded by sand strom...and as one had to close eyes to handle its harshness i literally want to do that while watching current episodes...

That's the way it is na. First 50 to 60 episodes is when they stick to the original script / story. Uske baad someone in PH would feel that it's either too fast or too slow or less drama or whatever and things get changed. Yes, pace has been messed up. There is no love story. Kya love story... Dev didn't even get the time to absorb her confession properly ki drama shuru... I mean including Vidhi, everyone is after him. Dhruv taara conversation and her thoughts to share with her parents could have come after some time. It's like OK, he confessed now I want to announce it to my parents. I mean... in this gen, what girl goes off on that thought so fast?? I understand her desire to get her parents approval. But come on!! 🙄
