I love the interaction between dev and vidhi. They sound mature which is really good and I am happy with the progression.

I have never had a good feeling about satya and I stand by that. Even though amba is a bad character I can't help but feel sorry for her. It is obvious she is mentally sick and is obsessive. And both dev and satya also to an extent knew that , if someone is obsessed with something then you don't fling that thing in their face only to take it away. This whole sagai thing makes dev look really bad like he has no say in his whole life. Satya abhi is on the right side but her attitude is disgusting the way she shuts everyone up because she is older is just bad and this thing will bite videv later on.

@ black and bold aisa mat kaho please. I don’t want Satya to become negative. I hope earnestly the makers do not take that age old ghisa pita trope of sauteli ma and saas. It’s too irritating to watch. Having said that I have my guards up viz a viz Satya and Kanika.

@ black and italics. I personally feel that one’s obsession and mental illnesses should not be the reason for others detriment. Here Amba used every trick in the book to get Dev to marry her. To me even Chitra’s wedding is a ploy. Ten to fifteen years a person has been denying you point blank again and again and again still Amba could not get the message. Even when she had come to ask for engagement ring Dev was anything but cordial. Also Amba is not just obsessed she is downright wicked. Had she not kept this engagement In the milapini mata mandir to spite Vidhi and then delayed the ceremony with behen bhai drama she would have been engaged much before Satya came. So much time was lost looking for the ring too. Now we all know this is fiction but what I want to say is the garb of mental illness does not give anyone the license to be spiteful, hurtful, wicked and cruel. What she did to vidhi during engagement was cruel. She got it as bad as she gave.


@ Red this I agree with but for a different reason. I understand loving someone, one considers as their child as if there is no tomorrow. I also understand everyone wants to spoil their loved one’s especially children. If my daughter asks for anything I would give my arm and leg to get it for her. Such is parental love. Having said that if she comes and asks me tomorrow to commit suicide would I? 🤣Point is you have to draw a line. Marrying someone is no joke. Dev knew Amba is toxic then bringing her into family is destroying the same family that he loves makes no sense. Here I found Satua wrong too the attitude that she used today could have been used a few day ago and Satya could shut Chitra up days ago. I also agree Satyas attitude is wonky.

I have my reservations with Satya but in this track I feel she acted as the most sane character.

@bold- I guess she never expected Dev to agree to all this. He had already said no and she didn't know what Abhi and Chitra were doing behind her back in trying to convince Dev. When he said yes she really looked shocked even tried to reason with him two times. She definitely felt something wrong with this relationship but couldn't point out what. She sensed Dev wasn't happy but he himself kept stubbornly denying it. Only when she saw the letter she got the solid reason that Dev was not happy at all. And uss moment mein she did what she had to stop the engagement. She knew Dev himself would never back out so she made it a choice between her and Amba because she knew he would never choose anyone over her. What she did might be harsh but if she hadn't stopped the engagement aage aur problem hoti. Just for the fear of embarrassment she couldn't let Dev get into an unwanted marriage. As she said today she understands Amba is hurt but ot would have been more wrong if she had let engagement happen as no one would have been happy in the marriage in the long run.

Agree regarding Dev's actions. Its fine that he loves his family but he definitely needs to draw a line. Pyar karta hai iska matlab yeh nahi ki kuch bhi karlega. His unnecessary sacrifices can really be counter productive for himself as well as his beloved family
