yes please we need a Mod we have a lot of activity and as of now the forum is largely unified, calm and peaceful. It will have its time of turbulences too. Should there be a disagreement of any kind a moderator will be able to pull the plug as and when needed.

You have to contact the GM for that, either Jayshree or shruti

Or the channel mod if there is any for that channel

Team India Forums wrote another article to correct the record, ironically stating that "several news channels, which initially claimed that the actor is dead, have now taken down the articles from their website."

Shouldn't India Forums be as prompt as the other news sources of which it takes note?

Thank you for bringing this issue up and we have fixed the issue. We will make sure that such thing is not repeated again.

Not exactly the same thing, but ...

https://www.indiaforums.com/article/is-malaika-arora-expecting-a-baby-with-arjun-kapoor-family-member-slams-rumours_192279

In the Related News section on various pages, the title of this article appears as "is-malaika-arora-expecting-a-baby-with-arjun-kapoor-family-member" and one doesn't see the "slams-rumours" part unless one clicks or hovers on the link. So, a casual observer could get the impression that the next article is self-referential:

https://www.indiaforums.com/article/arjun-kapoor-and-malaika-slam-a-leading-news-portal-for-spreading-rumours-about-latters-pregnancy_192285

Key words like "slams rumours" or "dismisses speculation" or "no truth to allegations" should appear as early as possible in a title.

Otherwise, it's like handing out pencils with the slogan "Too cool to do drugs" and wondering why all the kids with sharp pencils think it's "cool to do drugs" or just feel the urge to "do drugs."

It may just be me, but the first article is quite evidently a quick article on how they are not expecting a baby and the second one is a continuation. And that's just based on the titles. I haven't even bothered to read the actual content of the articles yet.

I mean the first one article's title is literally a question followed by "slams rumours" and the second is "slams leading news portal for spreading rumours".

Not sure what you are doing by comparing these articles to doing drugs but I can very honestly say that no one is going to compare these articles to "doing drugs is cool".

And on the death articles - IF doesn't post death news itself. It's just pointing out that it is a rumour. If anything that is doing a service to all the fake WhatsApp forwards that people do nowadays without verifying reality.

Like Hinna said, a CM or Shruti can help. If a mod is really needed, one can be assigned. You just need to give us a few days to decide and then Vijay or Jayshree can give the mods rights.
