Now, she is 18/19, not a baby, She is adult now, she should use her brain. But masla wohi hai, isko adaat nhi dimaagh use karney ki. She is dependent on her father for taking her decisions.

She has probably been conditioned to think that way. While most parents work towards making their kids capable enough to make through life on their own, her father was dependent on her income for the most part and having lived a life of luxury post his child's foray into the world of television, I'm inclined to believe he's not going to give it all up just because she would possibly want a different way of life. He would want to continue living his cushioned life and Sumbul who is so emotionally dependent on her father, probably won't wake up and smell the roses even if things are not as peachy as they seem.

People change when money is involved, even a parent who is supposed to love his child unconditionally.
