Their happiness! How adorable are these two!

Saw habs again after a long time. I just feel so bad for the crew and team. You can see the thought and effort they have given to each shot. The camera angles, the music, the ambience, the sheer elegance of the set. During the surprise party, I was mesmerized by the production value. You can even see it in the luxury of Basit's bedroom.
In my opinion, Habs was on its way to becoming the best drama in the industry. The emotions the first 10 episodes evoked was unparalleled. It gave you a sense of hope and calm. Made you want to just sit back, relax and loose yourself in a good story. While the makers might think FK's scandal is the cause behind hab's downfall, I think with the way the story panned out, the drama was doomed from the very beginning.
How could a team, that individually did their parts perfectly, fail to realise how weak their storyline was? While shooting Ayesha's overreaction and misunderstanding scenes, didn't they realise that it was getting a bit repetitive and ridiculous at some point? I believe habs represents modern and intelligent film making. It feels a cut above it's contemporary dramas. Wish there could a semblance of the same expertise in the writing as well. Such a wasted opportunity. Oh well, hope the team gets together and brings us better dramas next time around.

Well said...actually the cliched storyline was there in the early episodes as well but the execution and performances were such, that they added depth to a well-below-average script.
However, the way the team has collapsed, it doesn't seem likely that this team will reunite. But MM is a director to watch out for.

Very true. If you watch Gul-e-Rana thinking it to be a romance story, you will find it off. If you watch it without any such filters, you will see them as these riveting characters. Adeel cannot be redeemed, his self-indulgence has made him weak-willed while Gul-e-Rana's firmness, the core of steel as you put it, is such that she will never love someone as weak as him.
I don't know if you have read Rose in Bloom, by Louisa May Alcott, but there the FL, Rose is expected to marry one of her cousins and of the cousins, Charlie, who is the handsomest, is the one everyone thinks she will marry. But he is weak-willed, self-indulgent, an alcoholic, a flirt, a gambler and a rake. But he thinks she will fall for him because he is the bonnie one of the tribe. Adeel and Gul-e-Rana's relationship is like that. Adeel thinks it is natural that she will fall for him not realising that she is judging him based on a very different set of standards where his good looks and wealth mean little. Charlie dies and Rose marries someone very different in character. Gul-e-Rana too deserves someone much much better than Adeel and he knows it by the end of the show.
Well that's exactly why I started it in the first place, thinking it would be a typical story of arranged marriage with the toxic male lead gradually changing himself for his love blah blah blah... And when reading comments praising the show and the pairing I expected much more... But unfortunately none of these were the case...

Why did Ayesha get shocked after hearing why Basit got married? Like she doesn't know
So true though... A couple of episodes ago she was trying to figure out what terms Qudsia made Basit agree too and now she's acting like she doesn't know anything 🤣

I knoww...was thinking the exact same thing. I mean I get the 75 lakhs deal might have come as a surprise, but for the rest, Basit told her clearly why he needed to marry in a rush. The shocked expressions came a bit too soon. She should have saved it for the last.
From the bits I've watched her reactions and whole acting was a bit off in this episode ..

Of course I do ... how I was sure she'll blame basit for whole deal 😳😆
Such a relief to know for once her anger was directed at right person...lol
What's up with rest of epi ? I read your comment on precap... give update plz...
Ayesha never disappoints when it comes to ruining her relationship really... I feel so bad for Basit once again... He never got the chance to be completely happy, everytime something good happens in his life, he then faces another hurdle... And Ayesha acting like that doesn't help at all...

Lol I hv full confidence on ayesha for spoiling things😆 . I am actually surprised that she is blaming everyone nd not just basit ...
So soha is closed chapter now or ayesha actually believed that he loves Soha ?
Yaar I am so badly done with this show... gonna watch last episode directly..
Such a wise decision...I thought of doing the same but I don't know why I'm still watching this shit despite all the nonsense going on... I swear this drama perfectly justifies its title 😂

Btw the smile he gives at the end.... those are the things I love about this show....
Okay... apart from looking damn hot as always I absolutely love the fact that he's so much at ease in wifey's house 🤩
