That last 'hua' and the way Kishore da sings it breaks my heart into a million pieces everytime 🥺. Beautiful song. All of Amar Prem is, but this one is special to me.

Everything has become temporary now, there is no promise of forever. There is a certain essence where we always want to be heard with the right intentions, but forget to sometimes listen to the meaning behind the words.

It is a song that deserves to be merited for being both soulful and also remorseful 🥺

He differs in that sense from Vijay in Pyaasa who is so cynical that he veers on extreme despondency and cannot appreciate the good things around him (Sattar and Gulabo). In his defense though, he continues to want and seek better things ("Jinhe naaz hai Hind par woh kahan hai"), bearing blow after blow, until he finally sees Gulabo for what she's offering him. 😭😭😭 The songs again! 😭😭⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

PS: I hope they never remake these movies.
