Actually, last 2-3 months se life thodi hectic ho gyi hai, workload badh gya hai, working on Saturday too, time nhi milta, isiliye thread par involvement kam ho gyi, varna mein to songs post karta rahta tha.

Random thoughts-can I add something?😆I hate done to death songs bole toh which are like everyone's fav and everyone goes gaga over them.I am sick of hearing them everywhere 😆 so much so that they feel over rated.some examples- ajeeb dastan hai ye,aapki nazaro ne samjha,gaata rahe mera dil 😆 I have nothing against these songs but I would rather take a break from hearing them cause the whole world seems to love them😆

Another song that I HAD added to above list was Lag jaa gale(wo kaun thhi).whenever I watched tv some tv/movie celeb was singing it in their besura voices thinking they are tansen ki aulad😡😆

but that song the way Lata ji sang it is pure magic that just doesn't fade away❤️

OMG I love that you mentioned Zindagi jab bhi teri bazm - I love it, & it would probably be my pick. Shahryar's lyrics are wow, and Talat Aziz is at his best like you say.

I hear you about done to death songs and the ones you listed. But my pet peeve done to death songs are more from the 70s and 80s - in fact many of the popular ones you all picked in this last round. 😆 But I swallowed my bias and put them in nonetheless, aur wohi jeete 😆.

That said, I'm heartbroken barely any one picked 'Tum jo mil gaye ho' 'Hey maine kasam li', or 'Katra Katra milti hai' (I think no one picked this one). These are my absolute favorites. But I'm not surprised - they are not popular choices at all.

Main kitni badi hypocrite hoon 😆, I crib and complain that no one gives attention to Retro songs in reality singing shows anymore and when they do I hurl abuses at them for destroying these classics 😆

That said, you're absolutely free to share other songs that might fit. I'm not claiming to be the sole expert in this era. Being the quizmaster, there may have been personal biases that may worked themselves into my choice - consciously or sub-consciously. Like wat_up pointed out about QSQT and MPK & how those movies are blockbusters, I also did not include songs from Sholay or Satte pe Satta or many other such blockbuster movies. I actually deleted one Sholay song each from my R4 and R3 lists. I aimed to bring to attention the not-so-popular songs while staying close to the theme.

The joke about Zindagi ek safar? I may have missed that 😳.

About 40s through 60s, I already had a season one on them, so I'm unsure if people would be interested in a repeat version.

Please continue sharing songs, either ones from the R4 and R5 themes that weren't included, or ones that simply did not make it to any of these themes. 🤗

MCQ was fun and easier for everyone and for organizers too for counting so it was perfect. Yes research rounds seem interesting for some but majority were happy with MCQ and with time constraints it was good decision. If not for MCQ there might have been more drop outs even with extended time. So all in all it worked for everyone. Sorry to hear that you felt there was a backlash and apologize if you got that vibe from me anytime. Different opinions on various issues of the contest, please just take it as a different perspective cos that's what they are. However anyone feels, final decision rests with the organizer and everyone needs to abide by that when one enters any contest anywhere in the world. You and Neha have done tremendous job of hosting this contest and how wonderfully you both have executed it. 👏 ❤️

I am glad you did not include MPK and QSQT cos then they only would be the winner. It is fun when lesser popular or gems unknown songs are given and contestants need to choose from them. With popular songs the choices became easier to select and that defeats the purpose of the contest.

@bold: I never participated in your earlier 40s through 60s season, so if you conduct one and i request you to conduct one so that I can participate in it. Please do remember me if you ever host one.
