How to put a price on software?

I have developed a software. There is a client who wants to buy full rights of it. He will make me one time initial payment. I will give him the software with full source code and other related documents. After that he can do with the software whatever he likes. He can modify if he wants. He can sell it at whatever price he likes in his name. He can even claim the software to be his own. He will pay me only once initially. After that he does not need to pay me anything.

Without any modification, the client can easily sell one copy of the software in 350 USD. He wants me to quote a price for selling full rights. I do not know how much to quote.

Any idea what things I should keep in mind to decide upon a price?

ohh so u got a client ...and he want to sell the same ..

mostly they something like 10 times more than cost of software for source code .. so that client can modify the same .. but if he need the right of sell and copy right of the same u can charge more ..

if u want to sell a whole software with the copyright then just try to predict potential no of client of the software and on that basis just try to calculate a cost ..

i feel its better u go ahead and make a partnership and share the profit if u find there is huge potential for the software ..

start from $1000 and sell it for at least $600.because market prices are so high and you are going to sell it with whole rights. you must have right to get benefit of your fruit.
