Actually wealthy people don’t really always wear a lot of Gucci. 😆 It’s the middling-“rich”- Noveau riche (in Delhi & Bombay atleast) today that wear Gucci. Also their clothes are quite hideous so idk why RS is begging to be Gucci BA. 😆 I guess after his wife’s LV & Cartier BA’ship he too wants something to rival that? Any case, I hope Gucci doesn’t make him their BA.

I am not one bit surprised. He has been desperate for a Gucci deal for quite some time now, like at least a couple of years. He dresses nonstop in head-to-toe Gucci on the daily. Frankly, based on what we've seen, I don't know why Gucci would ever want Ranveer.

Also unlike China and Korea where there is a huge market for luxury goods, India is not really there yet. Common people in India wouldnt really splurge on Gucci/LV just coz their fav actor was endorsing it. Which is not the case in China, fans actually mass buy stuff that their faves endorse. Which is absolutely NUTS! I am really glad people in India are not that crazy.

Their clothes' quality and especially desings are exquisite compared to many other designers such as LV or even Balenciaga to some extent. China is big on designer/fashion because people generally also have more to spend. Are you really going to tell me Indians don't buy stuff because of celebs..what about the increase in that chai brand sales, purely because Akshay promotes it. And then the drama about Ajay promoting paan and people being encouraged to buy it... this kind of contradicts whatever you just claimed. Indian middle class (common people) lack(s) the purchasing power.. because these brands won't just adjust their prices to suit Indian markets.
