It’s complicated. They’re not gonna fire either of us because we are both really good at what we do. But it won’t look good for him since he’s technically in the position of power. If it becomes anything serious, we would have to disclose and he’d have to cease being my immediate superior or I would have to take a different position since there’s a lot of conflict of interest. He’s the first cheese and I’m the last cheese in the Swiss cheese model. HR wouldn’t like it.
