But truth be told, all this is secondary. What was annoying to witness as a fan of Habs was the way the whole Habs team fell apart like a house of cards. As I mentioned before, if FK was awful to work with, it was hypocrisy on their part to pretend like the whole shoot was wonderful and done in good team spirit. Even if I believe them, then at the time when there were no social media trial against him, it was absolutely fine for them to ignore the awful things FK did on set. Why didn't they cut out a man who was horrible to his co-actors on set? And now they are asking us to watch the show because of the team effort, yadda yadda...why? you never considered that 40 people on set were suffering because of the presence of that one person. At that time it was fine for you to make 40 people suffer because you wanted that one person to draw in the viewers. If his presence was disturbing everyone else, he should have been cut out of the project at that very time. Hitting a man when he is down is what rats do on a sinking ship. If one is truly principled, then raise your voice whenever you see something wrong happening. Not only when you think everyone will support you. (Gandhism coming strong here 😳)

Actually it won't be wrong to say both are toxic... it's just we find it easy to call out a man's flaws but when it comes to women they get a easy pass coz of gender....

Like you mentioned about the things in FK Alizey case, I too feel things are not being done to get justice but to ruin the life of your ex ... it is looking more like a revenge theory coz many of things are just not making any sense .... in normal cases things get dirty but remain among a group of ppl only but when your EX happen to be famous personality it's easy to damage his image nd spoil his future forever...

And what you said about habs team hypocrisy is so apt.. they were all praises for him until this controversy... they didn't even shied away to make videos with him and literally giving him the credit for the success of the show. But as the things turn sour in his personal life, they all came jumping on him nd get the limelight of it ... MM nd daniya were top of it..

Freak there are off screen vids where they all were ok with each other, having fun nd in one of video FK is calling Dania to come and cut cake.. either those videos that you shared are a lie or now what you are saying is lie ... so in both cases they are coming across as hypocrites... they could hv responded better in this controversy..

You’ve maintained the arcs of both Basit and Ayesha’s characters so well. The writers should’ve done something similar when Ayesha used to speak to Karim regarding Basit’s health, Basit would’ve loved a concerned Ayesha coming to check up on him. Also him refusing to eat anything else except the soup that his wife made for him was adorable 🥰

I loved how you Basit here could verbalise the exact moment where he felt insecure regarding Ayesha and Fahad. I particularly enjoyed reading about Basit’s realisation of the fact that Ayesha was carefree around Fahad and could smile and laugh around him, something she never did with him because he never made her feel comfortable. Then Basit wanting to come and share a meal with Ayesha in the kitchen, the one place he truly associates with her was such a delight. I liked how he could voice his hurt at Ayesha sharing her problems with Fahad and not him. We never got to witness this in the show.

All through the story, I could feel Ayesha’s fear, insecurities, need for reigning in her emotions and the surprise at Basit voicing his thoughts and feelings. Basit on the other hand was lovely, vulnerable while talking about his thoughts, emotions, fears and past mistakes. He was also firm in gently reassuring Ayesha that she belongs with him ❤️

Also the moment where Basit hugs Ayesha from the back is lovely 🤗 Then him sniffling her, taking in her fragrance and missing the same in his bedroom was one of my favourite moments!! Also Basit wiping Ayesha’s tears, kissing Ayesha’s forehead, the the corner of her eye and finally them kiss each other were such poignant moments❤️ Moreover, I could almost envision the one arm hug with Basit wearing the cast but still holding onto Ayesha with the right amount of strength to anchor her Finally their last conversation with Basit asking her if she could accept him as her husband despite knowing all his flaws was wonderful! This is so beautifully angsty that I could go on forever and ever and it wouldn’t be enough!! Thank you Twerps, I was having a few tough days but this made it so much better 🤗🤗

This story was me trying to put balm on some of my frustrations. One thing I really wanted the show to address was that yes, Basit was wrong to throw Ayesha out of the house. But Ayesha too was wrong in a way by trusting a friend of her husband over her husband. The show appears to have completely forgotten that. In the balcony scene when Basit professes his love for Ayesha, when he apologised, I thought he would tell her that she should have trusted him over Fahad. As her husband he will always be there for her in times of crisis. But anyway, they made it about Ayesha wanting to work after marriage which I thought was a separate conflict.

But anyway, when you and feroze_addict get some time, do that office romance collab story.That is pending. 😳

Ishqiya ends on a tragic note but is nonetheless open-ended enough where you can still hope.

Basit with Rumi would have lost his heart by the time it took to travel from the bride's house to the groom's following the nikah. Or maybe he would have run for the hills. It could go either way.

Yes, Soha's entry was one that we all were dreading precisely because we did not want to see this cliched done to death story of the ex returning determined to get back her man. And in Basit's case, he had felt nothing for Soha. So it is even more ridiculous if the makers stretch it over so many episodes.

But even these other side tracks have become so unnecessarily old school, am very disappointed with this show overall.

Very true. The story could have gone in so many directions keeping the freshness intact that we had in the early episodes... instead it has seriously tried very hard to become the Pakistani version of an EK show. 🤢😡

the name Habs is actually for us. We fell in love with the show in the early days and are now trapped, held captive, suffocating even as we cannot stop ourselves from trying to follow the show just to see Ayet together.

Exactly!!! This is what I find maddening actually. I even told cappa once that when dania made her post, I had felt it was completely unnecessary what she wrote. I mean, if you are believing Alizey and wish to support her, then send her strength and best wishes. Don't try to make it about you. If you are claiming that FK was abusive on set, then why had you posed for those photos and tried to look like you were friends with him earlier? Before this whole scandal broke, you were fine with getting attention for the show using FK's "star" status. I preferred Ushna's message, where she simply said her prayers were with the wife and children.

But also it is very embarrassing how they were all writing that I am the reason people are watching the show. Fans can have multiple reasons for watching something but the show is a team effort. Beginning with the lighting to the sets to the actors, everyone needs to be on their toes to make an idea come to life. And this goes for any show, good or bad. So for MM to ask us to watch the show for the team effort, again, not done. All shows are the same, a collective effort where blood, sweat and tears have gone in. As viewers, we are free to choose whether we want to watch the drama based on whether it is what we like or not. Not because of the personal lives of performers (which truth be told if we took into consideration, we won't get around to watching anything) or the fact that it was a team effort. Gahhh! Even thinking about all this pisses me off! 😡

So true... I've no idea how they jumped from Basit apologizing about the misunderstanding to their previous conflict about Ayesha wanting to work... I guess referring to this was ok however it was irrelevant at that particular moment... Except if there was a scene in between which was edited out cause if you think about it their conversation's flow doesn't make sense... 🤷‍♀️
