Secondly faulty selection always ... Selectors have zero accountability after any ICC tournament ....

One man made big difference to Indian cricket from the meekly losing side to attacking, winning side - MS Dhoni. As a skipper and player, he used to charge others too. @mishkil sir , in 2011 Finals , an out of form MSD told an in form Yuvvi to play after him.... As Captain he led from the front when it mattered the most ... He took us to victory .... There was always a ray of hope that MSD would turn impossible into possible...
As a Captain one has to inspire by playing out of his skin for others to follow.... MSD showed the way how it is to be done ... He never played a single knock entire world cup 2011 but when it mattered He came to rescue ....
Similarly the Legendary Kapil Dev saved us from Zimbabwe in 1983 by playing innings of his Life ...
Not a single match winning innings has been played by any Captain after Kapil Dev and MSD in crucial semis/ finals ....That explains why we haven't won trophies

There is no comparison but it's a fact that in any ICC tournament semis/ finals neither Virat nor Rohit have played an innings that is comparable to MSD of 2011 to take the team over the line ....
