Except this time bo was on fire. All the treatres increased shows due to houseful status. There are videos all across twitter of people shouting in threatre.

As far as I remember through not as crazy as hank, it was still highly popular. To say paid promotion increased its hype is lame.

Voted for Karan Arjun...a double hero lead is quite rare in Hindi films...more often it's a hero with a "sidekick" friend. It's an interesting movie.

Reading through the thread (and other 90s), I frequently came across the rigging part. I wonder about the reason behind it? Someone to sabotage the amount of polls in general or is it targeted against certain members?

However, if also the polls of 1990 and 1991 were rigged, it could not be "for all solo srk movies". And the rigged poll FlyOnTheWall called out had nothing to do with SRK either.

I also wonder why exactly I was blocked by the TM here (when I used the "quote" button, I got this message).

Okayyyyy???!!! So, it seems that this TM dislikes our opinions, especially - maybe in my case - concerning the one actor the TM obviously despises the most. Well...seems to be a rather petty reaction.

We are only saying it was hyped up way more later in 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. Especially with advent of internet and YRF hyping its anniversaries.

In 90s it was popular but not as popular as it is made out to be or has become now. Neither was it considered a signature movie of its leads. SRK now gets asked to recreate the poses from DDLJ. It was not so in 90s nor did he recreate those scenes in other films, the way he recreated train scene in CE.

These screenings and crowds are mostly paid promotion. Same as Amitabh's old films being screened again in theatre on his 80th birthday and PR posting online how Don on big screen or Deewar on screen still caused craze.

Trend for stars to self celebrate on own bdays. And claim their old films still create magic in audience. No big deal.

It is same as hype for re release of Mughal e Azam in colour in 2004. Media hyped it but there was no BO on fire really.

Very well "PUT together"

Glad someone named that film. It is an underrated film. Maybe a remake but its music was good. Aamir, Manisha and the kid acted well and scenes between Aamir and kid are heartening. Aamir and Manisha's glances and conveying emotions to each other through eyes in courtroom scenes are brilliant acting.

I find that film a bit sexist though. I mean why shame a woman for being ambitious or have her feel guilty for her stardom or quit it all to come back home? Or why Aamir should feel bad if his wife recommends him as music director? But then it is product of 1995 so I expect nothing better when it comes to showing a career woman or woman earning more or more famous than her husband.
