The total of 5 BW movies this friday is not even 3.5 cr..yes that is what has happened

Aishwarya managed a 2 cr opening for a dubbed Tamil film even when it clashed with a biggie like Vikram Vedha, that too with zero promotions.

Even her comeback film Jazbaa she had a 4.75 cr opening, which was one of the highest for an actress back then.

I just wish she does more movies with her in the central role. There is definitely a big market out there for her. If the likes of Janhvi and Parineeti who get 30 lakh opening can get a solo film, why can't Ash?

Pre Covid and post Covid box office is entirely different

Films that run at the box office are event films …anything less, people are happy to wait for the ott release and watch at lesiure

Pre Covid even films like hasee toh phasee, queen took openings in Crores….it’s now dropped down to a few lakes because the market for such films has entirely shifted to OTT

Bollywood can keep blaming the Pandemic till the cows come home but it's not the Pandemic alone. If that was the case, regional films wouldn't be having record opening days. At least 5 regional industries had record openings in 2022. RRR(Telugu), Ponniyan Selvan(Tamil), Karansuberner(Bengali), Honsla Rakh(Punjabi) and in general Regional industries are on a massive uptick with average gross way up meaning they are taking away Bollywood's audience. Bengalis are preferring Bengali films & Punjabis Punjabi films now that those industries have evolved. Add in the younger city population preferring to watch Hollywood films & the writing might be on the wall. Either UP your game or lose your market share for good.

If bollywood can make funny movies, i am willing to pay money to watch it.. But i guess that is just me.. I enjoy entertainment and nothing but entertainment.. I cant sit through 15 minutes of action scenes or any rona dhona sad serious scenes

I am actually feeling sad and crying seeing this miserable condition of our Bollywood. Someone wipe my tears please.
