So in today’s episode Amba tells the story of Amba and Bhishma Pitamah to Chitra. She talks about Amba’a tyag love for Bhishma and much more. Now nothing adds up actually according to the real story. What I am concerned about is was this a foreshadowing of something that happened in past and something that will happen in future.
In Mahabharat Amba never loved Devvrata. Not even for a moment. She loved Shalva. In a swayamvara a girl could not go with a pre chosen husband. When Bhishma came to take away the three sisters Amba Ambalika and Ambika for his two step brothers he assumed that none of them had any one else in their lives. Amba told Bhishma about Shalva and Bhishma sends her to Shalva.
When Bhishma was kidnapping the princesses Shalva had tried to stop Bhishma but had lost in war. So Shalva denies to accept Amba. The story goes on Amba does severe tapa and then us born as Shikhandini to avenge the injustice met out to her.
Iss saare pravachan ka karan yeh hai ki kahin something similar is not hidden in Ambi mausi and Dev sirs past. What if Dev sir has messed up with her love life?
I personally found the whole mentioning of Amba and Devavrat story a little strange. The names a good enough to indicate similarities then why the need for mentioning the real story?
Bold: Completely strange and misplaced. Also misguiding! Why do these people touch mythology like this?😡 and that too a complex epic like Mahabharata?
..... it's enough that they are using the same names..... gives us the kind of analogy they are trying to build.
Bheeshma doesn't get death as punishment because he didn't marry Amba. Mahabharat battle is about right winning over wrong, not anybody's individual battle..... not even Draupadi's...... Bheeshma forgoes his duty as the prince of Hastinapur and ties himself to an oath which makes him a great individual but builds complexities for Hastinapur.
After returning from Shalva, Amba wanted to marry Devavrat out of spite and hurt ego rather than any love. There is no sacrifice or tyaag in her story. There's only spite and revenge.
Perhaps that's what Amba will show soon.
Dimaag Girvi rakh ke ghar ki marammat karwata hai har saal hp
I also feels this fear of Amba's Dramebaazi. Chitra didn't even calls her husband Vikram who is living in abroad. Every time goes behind Ami Mausi . Saumya and I was mentioning the story of Amba and Bheeshma. There we can't find any sort of love or tyag which Amba was telling today to Chitra. In Amba's house only two people are living Chitra and Amba. Amba's father is dead as it was mentioned in one episode. Don't have any idea about if there was any other member in her family.
how about her sister and BIL.
Bhishma rejects amba respectfully. she did no tyaag. next birth she is born as aShikhandi. coz after getting rejected by bhishma she goes and does tapsya to get a Var to kill bhishma. there was no love. Amba was rebalious and when bhishma kidnapped she and her two sisiters she thought he was taking for himself. so she was not wrong there asking him to marry her.
yahaa devvrat ne na toh kidnap kiya ur naa hi he said ki would marry you. on the contrary he clearly siad nO.
Chitra should have tell her, will ask my brother but without knowing if brother loves or not and asks him to marry someone just because he loves you is foolish

That is what I am also assuming also I recall once dev sir had said don’t make me repeat things or something like that and then gone on to say I have never loved you etc etc. I think There is some disappointment in this Amba’s past which is attached to Dev sir and she out to avenge that.
And 100 percent agreed at what you said about Mahabharata. As it is we have terribly skewed and false information about these epics thanks to make and remake and then some more remakes of Them without much research. Mahabharat is one complex epic and so is Amba and Devavrat’s story. There was no need of that reference here even in muted tones.
There are severe austerities that Amba practiced to reach that goal of being the reason of Devratas death but no sacrifice, no love and no self awareness either.

Consent yup the big C word as a lot say 🤣
Amba knows nothing about that she had displayed it time and again.
Dev has to give at least some sort of hint to Vidhi. Let them take time for confessing, but at least with Dev's clues Vidhi should feel that Dev too have feelings for her . Whenever she tries to get that part he always deviates it but now he should also do some attempts. Though Vidhi may had an image that Dev genuinely cares for her she needs a clarification on it. And Dev have to do it.
The only realistic progression in the show is of Dev and Vidhi. Dev is really much senior to Vidhi in experience as well as in age. I find Vidhi extremely immature. She literally stepped on the tail of an African Mamba the minute she went to Amba the first time from the hospital. To be honest in real life if some one would do that that would be called out as trying to spite the other person. So coming back to the point if Dev gives Vidhi any hints I don’t she has the capacity yet to handle that with the maturity needed.
There is one thing I have really loved about Vidhi character is that she is not loud that happy cheerful girl. She has no traits of a Geet(jab we met) in her which became a norm in many shows. That’s a big change. I think Dev will need Vidhi to rise a little as a human being before he can really be serious about her. The glimpse of that rise we saw today when she said she wants to do MBA and not think about marriage. I felt like clapping for her. That was a big progression in her character.
