But law is equal to both? Why I am asking it is because women are abused for so many years. Sometimes, throwing her out of marriage without any support or keeping her in marriage against her will. So it is only fair that the gender is protected more. If she wants divorce, then give it and doesnt want it then let her stay. Because, most cases it is women who are suffering. But yeah, once society matures, then the law has to be equal for both genders.

In that perspective, i was asking. I also know how women now a days are misusing these protection laws for their own benefit. Ultimately, the judge should decide what is right and wrong.

@bold I wish the society evolves to a place where marriage is not needed for safety, security and wellbeing, especially for kids. It takes time to reach that level

Whole legal system seems lopsided, there are laws to protect women but their social economic conditions makes it difficult for them to excercise their rights. When they do, the legal procedure is a lengthy and difficult to follow, everything depends on how good your lawyer is, when we see that conviction rates for such cases are low, we think everyone was innocent but there's always a possibility that the woman didn't have enough evidence to prove it

In case of divorce, men and women have the right to get divorce and right to protect their marriage

Sadhika, there's a remedy called Restitution of Conjugal Rights under Hindu marriage act ....

All I know is sai is the FL and trp works on her. Ghum is loosing its viewership, we may think 2.5 TRP is great but you realize the damage when you see the viewership.
