I think it was a mixture of guilt and sadness

Guilt that Pakhi had seen him softening towards Sai

And sadness at Savi & Sai's situation

NB was good in this scene

Yes, there was guilt, definitely. His rapid speaking, fumbling for words..NB was pretty good at the scene.

There was sadness too...some sort of realization that Sai hadnt moved on at all. But stupid fellow couldnt put two and two together.

Or was he thinking that Sai had been betrayed by someone? Impregnated her and left her?

Somewhere deep down, he feels the connect with Savi. But cant justify it.
