Every character needs to face downfall in ghum. They'll become stronger after that.
Pakhi needs to pay for everything.
And, needs to have a strong downfall.
Virat and sai need to face a downfall for a few things and their habit of preaching but not bring able to practice things when it comes to each other.
Virat always used to say that he doesn't live in the past
'main ateet mein mudke dekhne walon mein se nahi hu'.
But, is he following this with sai? He's not.
He's clearly madly obsessed with his past. Sai isn't actually his past but if we see by what's happening in the story right now, then yes she is.
He's breaking the rules. And it proves that we all break our rules for the people we love the most and desire the most and to fulfill that desire, we forget the rules.
Sai on the other hand is the most logical person. Someone who thinks practically, keeping her emotions aside.
Stands with truth and is firm with her decision.
But, her mind stops working when it comes to virat.
She can't apply logic, sit down and think straight. She couldn't during the deal phase, hence the delay in the realisation of love.
Sai always speaks the truth.
Sai has always been someone who believed in speaking the truth and always being ready to face the consequences.
Never worried about anything.
Always ready to face any kind of wrath or problem.
There are too many examples but I'll take the internship example.
She wasn't worried to speak the truth and wasn't afraid.
Virat,
On the other hand, always thinks about the consequences and what would really happen, if he chooses to speak or express.
He Waits for the 'Sahi Waqt'.
But, look at the situation now.
Sai isn't lying but hiding about savi's truth and thinking about the consequences and situations and everything else.
Again, breaking the rules for someone she loves the most, right now, i.e., SAVI.
And, also keeping virat and family in mind.
If we going by how sai usually behaves with OTHERS, then that sai would've directly told the truth when virat asked 'Baap kaun hai, savi ka?'
Turant hi she would've said ki, 'AAP! aur aapki himmat kaise hui, aisa sawaal karne ki? '
But, this sai did not.
Virat,
Is breaking his rules completely for sai.
From being stuck in the past to using pakhi to make sai jealous.
He's the same virat who said 'Do aauraton ko compare nahi karte, dono ki bahot alag jagah hai meri zindagi mein'.
Both, sai and virat will need to have a downfall, learn from their and each other's mistakes, understand each other and then come out as strong INDIVIDUALS'.
They need to become strong partners but before that, they need to become strong individuals too.
Rectifying their mistakes, that they keep repeating.
And, become better individuals.
When two individuals who have learnt from their mistakes and became stronger meet, they become even stronger partners.
So, downfall is required for both sai and virat.
Sai is facing the guilt for vinayak's 'death'.
Virat is facing guilt for so many things but they're hidden right now or say have been overpowered by his anger.
Sai remembers what pakhi did. She keeps mentioning her deeds indirectly and taunts virat for the past.
And, how virat needs to be strong enough to take a stand for his family.
If they don't make her forget that and stick with this, then virat can actually have a realisation that's missing right now and will repent.
And, pakhi's downfall is bound to happen. More like she will have to pay for each and everything that she did.
If they're planning on properly redeeming her then a huge downfall is required.
Otherwise, they can continue this reverse psychology.
I've observed and understood all the patterns in these 2 years.
Each and every scene is so obvious and strategy is repetitive.
Advice - Watch this show after a month or two, to understand the story and reduce the confusion.
Don't even keep up with the updates.
I have done this in the past. Sometimes because I've been too busy to watch. And then watched ek saath.
This way, when the episodes ends in suspense, you'll already have the next episode available and you'll not be left wondering.
This is a good cure for the dragging.
And, when you finish watching these pending episodes.
You'll already have new 4-5 episodes or new episodes for the whole week.
I watch regularly since a long time now and it's fine with me, right now.
