Another one of the online audience of Ghum here! Been a silent reader here since quite some time too, just wanted to post some of my thoughts here.

The way Sai left today after seeing V P and Vinu today, how unbothered she was, it clearly shows that she has completely moved on from V, but still I highly doubt that she'll fall for a new ML
Regardless, she does atleast deserve a friend with whom she can spend time and leave all the worries behind. I feel that Ajinkya's character, if brought back, can be that friend!
As Sai has left the orphanage job, and she intends to stay here until Vinu gets alright, she can take up a job in a hospital and maybe cross paths with Dr. Ajinkya there. The long lost friendship between them revives, he and Savi too can have a great bond between them.. It would be a treat to watch if Virat invites Savi to go to "amusement park" one day, and she says "Sorry police uncle! Aaj mai or Aai or Ajinkya uncle ghumne jaane wale hai"
Just imagining the expressions on V's face when he hears Ajinkya's name and when he realises that the kid likes Ajinkya more than him🤣

Pleaseee Bappa, Ajinkya nhi toh kisi or ko hi show me laado, temporary hi sahi, atleast V ko realise toh ho ki usne kya khoya hai

PS: Can someone teach me how to tag people here pweaseeee?

And it would be sone pe suhaaga if Virat would already know that Savi is his daughter and he wouldn't be able to tell her. It would be soo fun to watch him hear his daughter saying she prefers to spend time with some other person more than her own father🤣

Ok take this:

Virat always knew the tension between his mother, father and BK. Had to make sure none feels bad and walked the tricky tightrope of balance. In this he had to ensure to behave as per script. He could not divert from it. This we have image conscious Virat with a gigantic Placating nature.

The he meets typhoon Sai who is most like 'Aye toh Welcome, Jaye toh Bheer Kam' kind of a person. This makes his inner suppressed self that never got to grow slowly blossom. It is not black vs white. Virat's real self/suppressed self is no saint. Being suppressed for long, it is egoistic, selfish, toxic and clingy. It simply wants and wants; not oriented to giving. That flawed self is enthralled with Sai's brightness.

It latches onto her and since it is real and not a facade; Virat has a tendency to blur everything when he is happy with Sai. He is fixated with her/ more like a part of his soul is. This is sheer escapism at play that grew into a toxic haven of love.

Virat has deep issues. In fact Ninad and Ashwini and BK are responsible for it. Ashwini with her tendency to adjust and always treat him like the son who can make no mistake, made him adopt his facade, rarely speak out against wrongs and expect Sai to treat him the same. Unfortunately, Sai neither trusted him that much not was blind or mute to things. BK and her authoritative nature revolved around Virat as the heir. So he learnt to take things and declare things; give and lose ground only with motive or bigger goal. Virat essentially turned narcissistic and selfish with obsession to protect and maintain his territory - his family image.

Ninad has the most Interesting contribution to make. He idealized his strong father; saw him as perfect. He copied him almost. Then Ninad had to go and break his illusions by confessing about the real reason he left the army. This took away Virat's ideal.

So now we have a selfish, authoritative, Raja Beta with no ideal to tether him. He goes to Gadchiroli and meets his mentor. All of a sudden Kamal Sir ia enough to fill the vacuum. As he adjusts, his destabilized Perfect image self that is sort of weakened meets Sai and his real self gets a chance to seep out of his Wounded Perfect self.

He begins copying his mentor and starts getting protective of Sai. Slowly her brash attitude and open self starts cutting off his chains. The real Virat begins to peek through and of course Sai being the focal point tethers that flawed real self of Virat.

His Image conscious perfect self isn't happy. That self is troubled. He cannot like Sai. Also he has made promises. Then the Jagtap issue comes up and his Perfect Self gets an excuse to retain the moral high ground: He will be her saviour. He will keep her safe.

And with this his two selves reach a doable compromise.

Virat's extreme emotions originate from his suppressed, flawed real self. The self that is fixated on Sai to the point of obsession. It is the influence of this Self that made his Perfect Image Conscious self chose to play the heart broken husband card and self victimse himself. Any other excuse or reason would have clashed both his selves together. This was the only one that was acceptable.

The real flawed self of Virat is also no hero. In fact it is probably more toxic in comparison. That self also considers Sai his territory. His outbursts at BK originate from that.

In a way Virat hates and loves Sai. His Perfect Image Self despises Sai more than Patralekha and BK's hatred put together.

His Real flawed suppressed self considers himself Sai's owner. She is his territory and he "loves" Her.

That's how I see Virat. Virat's antagonistic expressions towards Sai can be explained by this if Neil supposedly reads his character like I do.

But I don't think the CVs really go this deep. Ah well, Khayal mein hi sahi, this is how I read Virat.

Also, extra interpretation:

Virat tolerates and gives Leeway to Pakhi because she loves his Perfect image self. That perfect image self is characterized by his utmost devotion to his family; his best pretension. That's the Virat Pakhi met. Her loving him Justifies the existence of his Perfect Image Self that is a construct. It is not real.

While Sai dragged out his real self. The self that probably doesn't care that much for his family like he pretends. That is toxic and self obsessed. So Sai is a Threat to Virat himself.

Aaj Ka Virat Puran yahi Samapt🙏

Wow... 👌

I have the same observation.. it's like you read my mind😆

This is where I am kinda stuck. I am unsure if he knowingly switches or if his dual self is unknown to even him.

If he knowingly does it : We have a villain. The creatives actually managed to create a ML who is also the villain of his own story.

If he unknowingly does it : Neil Bhatt's confused expressions go with it 🤷‍♀️

Jokes apart, Virat fits the definition of a covert narcissist perfectly....the one who may not seem like a narc from the outside...

Oh my God. That makes me Virat Chavan's almost biographer 😂😂😂

Don't know whether I want that to make me famous or not. Says a lot about me if I understand him well, doesn't it?

😂😂😂

I wholeheartedly agree with you on it. Covert narcissist poster boy is Virat Chavan.

Have mostly turned silent reader in this thread n read posts of few but had to comment on yours!

Love how you explained Virat here n his equations with Sai n PL.

Sai is indeed his possession.

@bold Not only PL but he gave leeway to Shruti too. And ideally he should have been disgusted with these two ladies who were asking for his love despite knowing he is married and loves his wife. But they both did what Sai never did- ego boosting and worship him as man with perfect image.

Only if I could articulate it well 😂, unfortunately it established me as an hater! 😂

After much deliberation......Scattered thoughts. Bear with me

Eclipse - Shining in that borrowed light!

Today I was reminded me of Devkit marriage track. The scene where Sai returns to CN after Devkit marriage and Virat stops her from entering. It was so similar, yet so different.

Virat stopped Sai from entering the house and he did the same here. He talked about trust, he spoke about the intensity of the hurt when cheated by someone who is considered their own.

Today he used the similar words. He doesn't trust her.

The difference. Then he called out the deceiving by his own person. Today, he couldn’t call out so. It was just "I don't trust you". However, it has an extension which is bringing his trust issues more strongly. Then it was only about Devi's wedding, today it carries a huge baggage, with JM playing heavy on his mind. I know he was a distraught father, but the distrust on Sai seed was sown much before. And laid the foundation for V to doubt her.

Again, how could he? After knowing so much about her, and having seen through his own eyes, he could never learn a thing about her character.

What changed. Sai used to stay in CN but was forced to leave. Today she does not stay there but forced her way in (But will leave at her own will). And this is where my doubts on P strengthens. Why I feel that P is playing mind games.

Whether it is mental illness or simply her evil side, but I feel the game is definitely up. Why I say so.

Sai is the Light (good) and P is the darkness (Evil)

Let's go back to the same night of Devkit wedding. When V is asking Sai to leave forever, P is instigating Sai. She said "Sai will not leave. She always says she wants to leave but she will not. Isn't that true". Now what she was trying to do was stab on Sai's self respect, her ego. And she used this tactic quite often then. But Sai called her out for reading minds and to stay away from husband and wife's matter. And later when V realised the truth, he also spoke the same words to P, about reading minds and staying out of his personal life. So what happened was, V saw Sai's goodness and P's evilness starkly visible in that light.

So changed her strategy. Instead of calling out, or opposing Sai, she supports her. And she shines out by borrowing Sai's light and Sai becomes overshadowed. Like an eclipse, she has covered the sun, and she is shining from the light she is covering...the borrowed light!

She spoke rudely to Sai, pushed her and said all things that she probably had no right considering her own past. She vented out all her anger, because she knew the family was by her side and shared the same perspective. More importantly Virat. This was her chance and no one will suspect it to be anything but a mother's desperation.

Focus on the words she used to accuse Sai. They are not the same as Devkit wedding night. She has changed her approaching style. She is not instigating Sai, because she is already guilty and is anyways not interested in returning to CN. She is instigating the family, putting off any remaining chances of melting towards Sai. Her words are of a mother whose child has been wronged by Sai. Who would not see that pain. Who would not agree with P's state and accusations. She is only making everyone pro her and anti Sai. Why?

P wants to get Vinu out. She knows Sai can help in it. But what happens after that? Sai earns those brownie points. So what does she do? Gives Sai the brownies and earns the points for herself.

If Sai had left Vinu may or may not have come out. She wanted Sai to help. But she wanted to utilise this opportunity to take revenge. But when Sai decided to leave, she stopped because she could afford to let Sai go either. She was checking Sai's limits, whether she will force her way in. Which she didn't.

She knew, if Sai had forced her way in, then the credit would go entirely to Sai. So she asked her to come in despite the strong opposition. The family is against P's decision, but they are completely in favour of P as a person. And once Vinu is convinced P will be celebrated. Even with the "thank you" to Sai, P will be shining through it. Mind Games. Strategy

See that look from V to P. "Why would you get her in?" It was so domestic. Sai was the outsider and V-P are spouses. Bitching about a third person!!

Also, did you note her expression when Sai swore that she will leave Nagpur the day Vinu runs the race? She was so relieved. She knows how Sai functions. And she knows what this statement means. The real P is ecstatic and dancing away.

Small mercies. Vinu confirms that Sai did not reveal the adoption truth to him. So V-P, Ashwini and Ninad know the fact. V does give that look to P as well. I'm guessing P's mind will be scheming already. She will go after Sai to thank, in a way halting V's attempt at it. Ab pati bole ya pati baat to ek hi hai na. Thanks to dono ki taraf se banega

Back to Devkit track parallel.

Then Sai left and he turned his face away from her. Today he was so absorbed, he didn't notice that she left.

Today Sai was not just convincing only Vinu. But herself. She was convincing Vinu that V-P are his parents and they love him. They are his happy family.

And she was also convincing herself to believe and accept the same things. She saw how V was consoling P and how they bonded as a family when Vinu came out. A picture that she once saw of her family, was there. But she was no longer in that picture. So she leaves.

Sai is slipping away from V and he is unaware of it. His realisation will come too late. When he would want to hold her back and she is much beyond his reach.

Now, just like Devkit track will V go after Sai to apologise? Guess he will. There is too much said that he can't take back. He can keep apologising his whole life. Sai will try to let it pass, as she is guilty herself.

What came next? V gets shot? Will we have a repeat..Maybe Sai this time? Or is it P playing her game and getting injured?

But for how long will she cover the sun? She will have to move away and make way for the sun to shine.
