Don’t know about Ayesha teasing Basit. I mean the closest we got was during the couch scene, where she snatched her book back from him. But that’s just it, she’s never felt comfortable enough around him and this was reinforced when Basit threw her out, so he would have to take the lead in that. How do you think Basit will make Ayesha feel at home? Because she clearly doesn’t, not after the whole mess. Whereas, Soha was sitting so comfortably with legs crossed in Basit’s drawing room, I mean WTH 😖 Who gave her that right?

However, if I had to envision a scenario, the only one I can think of is in the kitchen where I presume Basit would be useless😂 Or perhaps Ayesha will one day catch Basit reading self help tips on how to woo your wife? 😉

As for fragrances, you’re right, Ayesha would smell fresh, clean, soapy but also something classic. Whereas Basit would smell fresh, warm and expensive. Imagine Basit sniffing Ayesha’s hair someday? Apparently guys tend to do that. Maybe he’s gotten used to Ayesha’s fragrance in his room especially when they’re sleeping and now he misses that. This is probably why he seems even more agitated during night time. 😳

Also something I observed, Qudsia mentioned that if Ayet would get divorced, Ayesha would need to complete her Iddat. I was reading about this and got to know that a woman only needs to complete her iddat if the marriage has been consummated whereas if there is no consummation, then there is no iddat. Going by this logic, Ayesha and Basit have consummated their marriage or maybe they haven’t and Ayesha hasn’t disclosed this fact to her mother. What do you think? Ayesha still acts very stiff around Basit, especially when it comes to opening up. What is your take on this?

You are right! The upcoming episode will have new misunderstandings added to the old ones. And yes, will be still happy to see lots of scenes of Basit considering the situation between him and Ayesha and doing things to make things better. And now that you mention it!!! SO true about how Soha was completely at home at Basit's place! This shows another thing. Ayesha has never felt at ease in this house...any time she has acted too comfortable in the house she has been scolded. Firstly of course the difference in status which has prevented her from acting too comfortably in this house. Secondly, Basit drawing lines...like the incident with the perfume bottle that Zoya broke, refusing to accept the gifts brought by Ayesha, scolding her for trying to clean his study, etc. Soha on the other hand being used to this kind of luxury herself, feels completely at home in Basit's house. Furthermore, her belief that this man had once loved her makes her act more freely around him.

It is so true that Ayesha never really got to feel comfortable around Basit. But perhaps now Basit himself will try to get Ayesha to cross those lines that he himself had placed and try to get her to enter into his "personal space". He really needs to prove to her that it wasn't only Ayesha who belonged to him but he too belonged to Ayesha. He has to be the one to prove to her that she had full power to do as much of "haq jataana" as she wanted to.

Basit reading self-help tips !!! Oh lord I want this!!! Let him at least dig up that book Ayesha had been reading. Who knows? Perhaps that book might teach him a thing or two.

Regarding this iddat...I think Qudsia believes that Ayesha and Basit have consummated their marriage. I mean how would she know what the situation was between AyeT? But regarding the actual situation, I agree with you. I really do not think AyeT have, you know. I understand in Pak dramas it is hard to tell, but the way they are around each other makes it very clear that they are not even physically that comfortable around each other. Even then Ayesha had her reservations, with the way she we leaving with her cup of tea at the poolside and then Basit had to ask her to sit and drink tea with him. She’s never been sure of whether Basit wants to spend time with her and feels more unimportant than ever now. What Ayet need is to spend quality time together and initiate conversations. I don’t know why but the conversations between Ayet have felt very one sided, with Basit struggling through his trauma and emotions and Ayesha trying to offer guidance, initially of her own free will and now at Basit’s insistence. However, Basit never asks Ayesha about herself and I wonder why?

Also how do you think the haq-jatana will happen from Ayesha’s side?

As for the self help tips- with the way things are turning out (also keep in mind the lack of Fahad’s guidance) and seeing Basit’s struggle, the day is not far when he’ll actually start resorting to self help books.

I don’t think they’ve gotten to that level simply because they’re so unsure around each other and especially with the way Ayesha proclaimed to Bano that “main use kabhi achhi lagi hi nahin!” Do you think that part of Ayesha’s insecurity also stems from the fact that Basit has made no move to initiate intimacy?

Oh my god!! That song from Jewel Thief...Raat Akeli hai! 🤣 Lord, this used to be such a trope in old Bollywood films...probably comes from all those mythological stories of hoors and apsaras trying to dance around and distract sages from their meditations. With the hermit that Basit used to be, this is all very fitting! And of course I think we can be safe in the thought that Basit will not give any bhaav to Soha...please don't take that away from us MnM! 🤔 It won't be merely tricky otherwise, it would be outright nuking our emotions.

Seriously, this last episode has me so upset. I was rewatching episodes 13 and 14 today and truly it felt like I was watching a different show. I really hope this is not because MnM is trying to cut out FK scenes. If he does that, he will be murdering his own baby. Whenever FK is on screen he does something that makes you want to watch him again and again. And this is because MnM has directed him that way. Their combo is brilliant.

Anyway bechaara "gossip queen"...I wonder what he has been up to on the new floor...am sure he had a whole take on this boss having an accident scene going on now.

The fact that Ayesha literally bloomed when he asked her that over the phone just goes to show how starved she was of such attention. But then of course the divorce talk sucked away all hope out of her. But for Basit, his need to know about what is going on in Ayesha's mind, desire to know about herself, her past, her likes and dislikes, etc will increase over the next few episodes.

At present of course, there is no possibility of haq-jataana from Ayesha's side. That will only come with time, with her growing security in this marriage, in their relationship, in Basit's love for her.

Basit is indeed a hermit or perhaps was one before falling for Ayesha 🤣Btw Soha gives these vamp vibes, and I felt this right from the beginning. She’s entitled, self-important and can’t quite read the room. I hope that Basit doesn’t forget how she abruptly ended their engagement and that it was Ayesha who stood by him through everything.

Coincidentally, I was also watching episode 13 today and you’re right when you say that it does seem like a completely different show. I don’t think that MM would cut out FK scenes, simply because the shooting has ended which in hindsight is great. Also with the way the entire Twitter raged on the lack of FK scenes, it would be self sabotage. One wrong episode and people are already out with verdict that it has become boring, so it is safe to say that FK would be given his due screen space, especially for the next episode, it does look Basit centric. I hope it is Ayet centric though.

I have a couple of favourite episodes- episode 21 remains at the top of my list simply because it has a mix of everything. There are tender moments between Ayet along with some meaningful conversations. However, the most important thing is that it was all initiated by Basit. One could literally see his transition from a non-trusting recluse to an apologetic, attention seeking, adorable and slightly prideful husband.

Episode 22 is quite good too. One can see Basit yearning for Ayesha, which FK has emoted phenomenally. On the other hand, Ayesha’s hope, fear, insecurity and hidden love for Basit are also quite visible and emoted well by Ushna.

Another episode that I quite like is the one with the nightmare, couch and graveyard scenes. That’s the first episode where we see some semblance of relationship building between Ayet and Basit opening up to Ayesha and her in turn comforting him and offering him a home in the true sense.

One more scene that deserved a special mention and remains my favourite is the balm scene. It is one of the very few scenes where we Basit taking on the role of Ayesha’s protector. I like how he also owned up to the fact that he doesn’t know how to build relationships and that she would need to be patient with him. I believe this was the first time that he gave Ayesha some hope regarding their relationship. I also liked Basit’s concern for Ayesha and Ayesha’s sheer display of vulnerability. They both looked gorgeous in that scene. I don’t think Ayesha has ever been that vulnerable with him again.

I just realised that Ayet have never even been out for a meal together. In fact Ayesha and Fahad have probably gotten to know each other better through spending time one on one during that dinner than Ayet ever have.

And yes and we need an OS on Basit reading self help books!!! That would be so interesting!! Could I please request you to write one? ☺️

Yes, Basit not initiating any form of intimacy must have been disheartening for Ayesha, keeping in mind the strata of society she belongs to. In fact, I’m hoping that we at least get to witness a hug between Ayet. Also my friend thinks that Basit is a virgin, especially with the way he was freaking out on the wedding night 🤣 I on the other hand am not so sure. What is your take on it? I mean it’s hard to imagine a man so fine and at that age to be one but keeping in mind his trauma associated with women, it may not be so far fetched.

Which episodes are your favourite?

Very apt assessment of Soha's character. While Ayesha is so insecure and undermines her own value because of her inferiority complex, Soha is on the other end of the spectrum. She is so certain about everything, even when we clearly know her assumptions are based on nothing and mostly misplaced. She has a very high opinion of her own value in the eyes of other people. With Basit, she did not once question what had made this man propose to her so quickly, after only a single meeting. It was natural in her eyes for Basit to fall for her like that. She perhaps thought that Basit loved her but was not good at expressing himself and tried to curb the intensity of his feelings. This is why I think she says that you haven't changed when he said he had met with a small accident. According to Soha, Basit likes to play down situations, making things appear less than what it was.

And yesss. Today MnM shared a post about how Feroze is the best thing about Habs. So hopefully, as you say, he will see reason. Am not liking the fact that these people have fallen out. Am scared for Habs 😆 Next episode will have some emphasis on AyeT for sure. Basit talking to Bano about Ayesha. Basit thinking about Ayesha. Basit trying to call Ayesha. Perhaps the house crisis will also be revealed to him, do you think? Also Ayesha will take a stand regarding Basit before Qudsia.

Actually, I was rewatching the scene where Basit told Qudsia he was preparing the divorce papers, and it makes sense for someone as negative as Qudsia to lose all hope in him remaining committed to Ayesha. He was terribly rude to Qudsia in that meeting.

Actually I love all these episodes and scenes you mentioned. Another episode I really love was ep 13 and 14...simply for that scene where Basit walks through his house thinking about Ayesha and it is also when you clearly see that if she is upset or close to tears, it bothers him. Prior to that, I like ep 8 as well, that was the one where Basit fixes his marriage and Sadia goes to Ayesha's home.

Also that scene where Basit refuses coffee and smiles with that soft smile (enhanced in softness by that golden light and filter)...ep 12 end I think. But now after ep 21 and 22, I want more. I want that yearning that Basit has begun to show to become more and more manifest.

Also we need to see more of Basit protecting Ayesha. I mean I know Ayesha doesn't need his protection, but just to see him want to take on that role, think on ways he can support, help, or generally make Ayesha's life easier would be enough. But no more high-handedness like giving her money or the apartment...now he will have to try and find out what Ayesha wants. In the last episode, Basit was thinking on this...Kya ho tum Ayesha, he was wondering.
