I suddenly remembered that moment when Sadia told Ayesha about Basit missing her...she was like "it was sooo obvious"! poor Ayesha...all this never happens where she can see it too. Before her, Basit always has to appear, cool and collected, the master of his universe unless he is emotionally shattered (like after Sadia's death or when he lost it on seeing Fahad with Ayesha)

Btw I suddenly thought of something...we keep saying that Ayesha doesn't know of the deal between her mom and Basit...but Ayesha's family also doesn't know that Basit and Ayesha got married because of Basit's father's will. I mean, in Ayesha's eyes would that extra 75 lakhs Basit paid her mother make any difference considering the fact that she already knew that this marriage was a part of a business-related decision? Only thing, perhaps it would help in breaking her even further since till now she has at least this source of comfort that she never tried to profit out of this marriage and that by marrying Basit she returned him a favour. But if she learns of Qudsia taking the money, then she will lose even that.

Yes!! I don’t know could I forget that scene where Basit acknowledges that he’s never felt so oppressed in his room and also that he never missed Ayesha before this!

About the apartment, I also felt that this was Basit’s way of apologising for throwing Ayesha out. He wanted to give her the security of a home. Unfortunately, he went about it the wrong way. He should have begun by apologising for throwing her out, clarified that he doesn’t want a divorce and wants back in his life, told her that her action of hiding the truth hurt him and that he jumped to the worst conclusion, waited for Ayesha to speak her side of the story and then gift her the apartment by telling her that this is for her security.

Basit’s ego prevents him from coming clean to Ayesha (not that Ayesha is very forthcoming about her feelings). You’re right he’s mostly maintained a charade of being in control around her. He’s never admitted to how much he appreciates her before this entire fiasco. I wish Ayesha could see him pining for her now.

Haha I’ll try to write the Soha factor story, in turn you please please please write the kitchen romance whenever you find time. ☺️

As for the money that Basit paid to her mother, it would make a world of a difference. I remember that Aamna in one of her reviews said that till now Ayesha in her own mind is on a higher moral ground, she married Basit to help him get out of a conundrum in turn for helping her financially. Even while she was angrily leaving towards the end of episode 22, she tells Basit that I want no compensation for the time spent with you. Therefore, getting to know that Basit paid a huge sum of money in exchange for her help, would make her feel that she was traded by her mother and bought by her husband. It would shatter Ayesha and this would reaffirm her belief that Basit has no interest in her. She anyway believes that he never liked her, was never emotionally invested in her and this truth will be the final straw. A lot will depend on how Basit will communicate his feelings on the matter with her.

How and when do you think Ayesha will get to know about this truth and what will be her reaction? I remember in the ost, there’s a scene with Ayesha walking on the road alone at night, crying and something tells me that this is in the aftermath of getting to know the truth. Then we see Basit dragging Ayesha back home with him, even though he initially looks annoyed.

You are right...and I think Ayesha will find out about the money now. I just hope the makers will not drag this out too long. Let her find out about the money, let Basit force her to return to him and then let them figure things out while staying together. The Soha factor will not be fun to watch if AyeT are separated through this whole time.

As for the scene where she is crying while walking in the night...I think before that scene Basit will come to talk to her. But he will leave with Ayesha still disappointed. Then she will meet him while she is walking away from home in anger, pain and despair perhaps. They will have a proper all out emotional argument like the one on the stairs. And this time Basit will drag her home...the opposite of how he dragged her out after the argument on the stairs.

But how, when, why...all this I cannot fathom. 😆

I just hope Habs won't take the turn to too much clichéd storytelling. I mean its power was always in the storytelling which made an average story into something exceptional. I want this to remain the case right to the end.

I agree with you! The Soha factor will only be fun if Ayet are together and if she gets to see the depth of Basit’s feelings for Ayesha, especially considering how Ayesha told Soha that she’s nobody to Basit. Soha would be shocked if she gets to see a lovesick Basit 😂

hahahha!! We have been wishing, hoping, praying for Basit to drag Ayesha back home the very day he dragged her out. Had initially thought this was going to be resolved in 2 episodes and now already we have had how many? 4 episodes, right? and it is already too much to take. I mean even if we go by the drama name, Habs, which we googled and found to mean "Captive"....then here toh instead of keeping her captive, he has sent her home. 😆 Why are they trying us so, the makers of Habs?! This week's episode has really left me broken. I am really scared now they will have another 2 episodes of Soha dancing around Basit and then they will wrap things up between Ayet in a few short scenes. If that happens, I will not forgive MnM. I mean Habs really has some of the finest acting and performance from Feroze I have seen ever. I want it to end on the note it started. Subtle but smart storytelling, that keeps us engaged, gives us good vibes and does not drag us over fire and brimstone.

Btw the new maid is cute...haha...since I am only rewatching scenes of Ayesha and Basit, this new girl adds a nice comic relief. When Ayesha was shouting at Basit, she comes quietly up with the tray of food. And Basit is trying to explain himself to Ayesha when she interrupts him with his breakfast! i mean that is some good timing. 😆

Btw, not only would Soha be shocked on seeing a lovesick Basit...actually Ayesha would be even more shocked. 🤪 And yesssss...I want to see that scene where they pause at the driveway, staring at each other...ouffff! The intensity in Feroze's eyes there, and the confusion and hurt in Ushna's...

And here's to hoping that we both finish our stories over the weekend! 🤗❤️🤗

Absolutely agree with you on the fact that the essence of Habs is in its subtle and smooth storytelling. However, the last episode felt like such a road blocker, there was no movement in Ayet’s relationship. I do agree that this is Feroze’s finest performance till date. His ability to emote without saying a word has left me awestruck ❤️

I am shocked at how Fuschia magazine in their review today went like this was such an enjoyable episode. Had they shown Fahad and Bano, my views would have been different but Qudsia and Zoya are not exactly characters whose story leaves you feeling content, which is what I generally associated with Habs. Qudsia and Zoya are nothing but typical sass bahu everyday drama. Whereas Ayet or even Bano and Fahad are such a breath of fresh air.

I am also eagerly waiting for the driveway scene! 🥰

Moreover, Basit trying to extract information about Ayesha from Bano would be such a treat, if they execute it right!

Also something that I realised, according to Basit it was wrong and inappropriate for Ayesha to have Fahad over in Basit’s absence, then how is it fair for Basit to welcome Soha (who was his ex-fiancé) in his house in his wife’s absence? I wish Ayesha would raise this point!

I think Basit will try to involve Ayesha in more conversations. I think ever since the time they spent in the hospital, Basit has become more vocal about wanting to hear Ayesha's thoughts and opinions. He will compliment her on things just like that leaving her stunned. Perhaps he will also touch her randomly, like tucking her hair behind her ears when she is busy doing something and has her hands occupied or pinching her cheeks when she is in the middle of saying something. And he will go to her...like if she is in the kitchen, he will go there, perhaps even try to help her. If she is by the pool, he will come to her. He will seek her out rather than expecting Ayesha to come to him. And he will do so simply because he wants to be next to her, not because he wishes to apologise for something or he wants to give her something. I think this change in Basit will give us a wonderfully flustered Ayesha.

The less way we say about the last episode the better. I mean this whole saas bahu thing was not what I signed up for when I started watching Habs. Saas-damaad issues yes! So not at all enjoying this toxic nonsense brewing in Zoya's sasuraal. And yes, ouff this focus on Qudsia too... And even if the makers had to show it, wish they had shown it in shorter scenes. I would have liked to have some more focus being given on Basit's thoughts on Ayesha...there was some 3-4 mins of that maximum but those minutes were so delightful to watch!

Basit after telling Bano he doesn't want to discuss his personal matters in office, would be eating his words as he tries to get Bano to talk about Ayesha! 😆

And "starved for Ayesha"! 🤣

And oh God...about the parallel between Fahad-Ayesha alone at home and Basit-Soha alone at home...I don't think Basit was thinking straight when he found Fahad and Ayesha together in the house. But then again with Soha, to his defense, we can say it wasn't him who welcomed her in. He was just being polite after the maid had already let Soha in. But yeah, I think this parallel will come up at some point...be it through Ayesha or Basit self-reflecting on his actions.

With Basit, I think he would be using expensive colognes, perfumes perhaps. He would have that fresh cologne smell. I am not very good at describing fragrances but he would have mix of spicy and fresh. hehehe...sorry for being so vague. 🤪

So I think the next episode again will be about misunderstandings. We’ll see Soha dancing around Basit and Fahad reporting everything to Ayesha. In the meanwhile I only hope that Basit at least simps for Ayesha and rejects Soha’s overtures. If we’re lucky we’ll get to see an in person meeting between Ayet but I wouldn’t keep my hopes very high. I remember that Ayesha Omer’s shoot went up till the last date, let’s just hope that she swiftly exists from the show. Perhaps by episode 25/26 Ayet will come under the same roof.

As for Basit assisting Ayesha in the kitchen, it will be fun to watch Ayesha bossing him around. What would be even better is if Basit’s employees especially Jawad get to see his boss following his wife’s orders and getting to know his boss’ boss 🤣 Phir dekhte hain kaise saazishein karta hai Bano ke khilaaf!

Don’t know about Ayesha teasing Basit. I mean the closest we got was during the couch scene, where she snatched her book back from him. But that’s just it, she’s never felt comfortable enough around him and this was reinforced when Basit threw her out, so he would have to take the lead in that. How do you think Basit will make Ayesha feel at home? Because she clearly doesn’t, not after the whole mess. Whereas, Soha was sitting so comfortably with legs crossed in Basit’s drawing room, I mean WTH 😖 Who gave her that right?

However, if I had to envision a scenario, the only one I can think of is in the kitchen where I presume Basit would be useless😂 Or perhaps Ayesha will one day catch Basit reading self help tips on how to woo your wife? 😉

As for fragrances, you’re right, Ayesha would smell fresh, clean, soapy but also something classic. Whereas Basit would smell fresh, warm and expensive. Imagine Basit sniffing Ayesha’s hair someday? Apparently guys tend to do that. Maybe he’s gotten used to Ayesha’s fragrance in his room especially when they’re sleeping and now he misses that. This is probably why he seems even more agitated during night time. 😳

Also something I observed, Qudsia mentioned that if Ayet would get divorced, Ayesha would need to complete her Iddat. I was reading about this and got to know that a woman only needs to complete her iddat if the marriage has been consummated whereas if there is no consummation, then there is no iddat. Going by this logic, Ayesha and Basit have consummated their marriage or maybe they haven’t and Ayesha hasn’t disclosed this fact to her mother. What do you think? Ayesha still acts very stiff around Basit, especially when it comes to opening up. What is your take on this?
