Separation ke liye kuch bhi!! Who registers marriage in india unless they are from different religion
Either amber Or sam.

We do register the marriages in India but it's just a formality done a few days after the ceremony usually. The marriage certificate is an important document, but the process itself is not much of a big deal, (unless you are going through with the special marriage act, which requires a lot more formality). Just sign the forms, attach whatever documents required and submit.. but the religious ceremony is considered perfectly valid even if not registered; as long as the bride and groom are of age, not already married and there are enough witnesses to prove it. So I don't see how not being registered is that much of a problem.

Even today in India 95/100 doesn't register their marriage. Ceremony is the main thing. Like you said people Register if they are from different religion or it's needed for some documentation.
It's baseless thing, sikha dont celebrate KC, without registering marriage is invalid
