Kat never had a traditional family set up.

Her mother was all over the place and dad was not in the picture. That is why she has always been with guys with big families. Salman , RK and Vicky

I think she and Salman were not compatible but the family accepted and in RK case the mother/family did not approve.

In Vicky case, she got both and his family is as middle class as they come (from a filmy family).
