She might be overwhelmed with everything happening in the house at that moment so this could be the reason why she cried.
She is the youngest contestant among them though she seems strong. I think it was just normal. She cried to relieve stress. It wasn't drama.

Her way of emphasizing the fact that she tries her best to not waste food would maybe seem exaggeration for some people.
