i certainly agree to some extent with what you said abt Vidhi and her weakness... but we have to take it as a part of her character. As a girl who never stepped out of her house, never met people so manipulative as Amba. And she has no experience in dealing such people... she has lived a guarded life more of a caged life.. and she has to meet such people to know what all kinds are there and to learn to tackle them. But she hasnt met any yet so we cant expect her to be intelligent enough to understand Amba and her ulterior motive. We have to give her time, more experience in outside world, and more such cunning people to learn what should not be repeated
And i blame HP n Vimla for what ever Vidhi is today. they just dint let her live a life of her own.. and caused her to be so badly under confident. And today also he was same.. blaming Vidhi for having experience in life. he should have been a supportive dad to Vidhi to tell her "you know what you did wrong by believing someone else.. if you dint find the drink okay you shoudnt have drank it"... she never had anyone to be her support system.
Just cause parents gave you birth doesnt make them a parent.. they should help their kid to learn n live in this world esp girls.. all parents think ladki paida ho gayi to bas bada hoke shadi hi to karni hai, chulha chauka hi to sambhalna hai.. dhuniya dekhne ka confidence aane ka kya fayda.. jab ghar ko char diwari me hi rahna hai.. thats what typical conservatives indian families think abt a daughter.. to bas Vidhi usi mentality ki shikar hai.. hope she gets someone to support and help her gain confidence n her life back.

Agree with all your points!! When you said about free will I just felt that she doesn't have much choice in most things in her life. Due to her father's dominance, she mostly does what he says. I don't think she even thought much about what she likes or dislikes. But with her job she is learning. She is meeting new people, having new experiences. I hope eventually she grows to be a strong person who can think and stand up for herself.
@bold- Very true!! Parents have a huge role in how a child grows up to be. Protecting the child is one thing but while doing that restricting her growth is completely another. And at some point they have to let her live her life. Let her make her mistakes and let her learn from it. Thats how a person grows. Her parents aren't allowing her to do that.
@pink- you are so spot on here. I really wish HP was like that. But yeh toh seedha uska kaam karwana hi band kar rahe Mujhe laga tha yeh kaam Dev karega you know to slightly reprimand her for being so naive and obeying anyone. That would have made her more careful. But abb HP ji ke wajah se voh bhi mahi hosakta. I understand that he was shocked seeing her like that but he has to also see how much positivity her job has brought into her life. He is ready to give his daughter to an NRI who he has just met once but isn't ready to send her to a job in the same city under Dev who he knows so well
@green- Agree!! Even in the show they are like abb padhai hogai toh shadi kar dete hain. Job bhi bass usko thode time ke liye karne de rahe that too because her marriage prospects have increased after that. I am not against marriage but what is the hurry. She is 21, just out of college and has just got a good job. She easily has some good 5-6 years before she can think of marriage. Let her enjoy her life, her independence a bit, let her make her career. She wants to do MBA, but they are like voh bhi shaadi ke baad karlo. Vidhi ki isme zyada choice hi nahi hai. Its more about which guy agrees for her. She is never asked if she is okay with a guy. Ladke ne pasand karli toh hogai baat.
Also, how easily her Father says if you guys don't want her to work, she will not. Has he ever asked her what she wants? Vidhi doesn't seem too happy with it but uske mann mein abb tak nahi aaya ki voh keh sake let me get married after 2-3 years. They never gave her the confidence for that. Its only with Dev's guidance that she is slowly learning that her education and career will give her respect.
